BlueLion. 21,491
Willian and Diego have been getting all the plaudits, but for me he was effortlessly the best player on the pitch yesterday. Didn't misplace a single pass.
Popular Post! Styles 9,790 Posted February 14, 2016 Popular Post! Share Posted February 14, 2016 We need 2 injured CBs for Azpi to play in his best position. The sheer stupidity about this never ceases to amaze me. Peace., manpe, 11Drogba and 9 others
The Mak 4,459
Excellent from Dave. See what happens when you put him on his natural foot? I remember having a heated debate about 2 years ago on who was the better RB, Dave or Ivanovic...that was a discussion that actually happened and there were staunch Brana supporters. Even though Brana was nowhere near as bad as he is now, I think it was always non-debatable about who the better RB was. CHOULO19 24,332
What do you know? Put the ball on his right foot and he can actually cross and play long balls and be a creative outlet. Who'd have thought? kellzfresh and The Mak
OneMoSalah 8,886
Brilliant tonight, he is excellent no matter where he plays if its right back or if its left back. Di Maria is a world class player and in my opinion Dave was brilliant against him, got really tight to him.
Magic Lamps 11,692
king of defenders. Arguably the first time he has faced a world class winger in an official club competition and he was on top for most of the game even though let down by Pedro time and time again

Henrique 9,133
Represents the post 2012 UCL Final Chelsea, a team that lacks identity and ambition, Azpi was this typical Emenalo guy, a promissing U21 player from any place in the world that was turned into a LB when Mourinho panicked and decided Cole was not good enough, but somehow Mourinho thought he was so good, that he sold LuÃs back to Atletico after one single season. This team is paying the price for believing winning the PL means the same thing as in the past. Leicester is set to win the PL this season, but no one is saying Huth is great or world class. Azpi is not great. Call him normal, average or mediocre, but isn't great. He Can't cross, the Can't even make simple things right, like that moment before the 2nd PSG gol when he interceptes an Ibra's pass, but was unable to make a simple pass to Costa and completely killed a precious counter attack opportunity. Azpi is hardworking, he can make some good things, he is not terrible, but not great. I Can't believe some people firmly believe he is world class. Its not a coincidence that the team was beaten by stupid defensive mistakes in both games, with terrible performances from Azpi, Iva and Cahill, players who were praised by Mouinho for months, and were called world class by many fans, and the best "defender" today was Kenedy, a player who is not even a defender and wasn't part of the amazing untouchable Mourinho's back 4. And no, that wasn't an isolated mistake, as some people were suggesting in game topic, this was the most important game of the season, and this is the kind of game that is the difference between great players and normal ones. Fernando

BlueLion. 21,491
The irony about Dave is, that since Hiddink came back, he's actually been shocking defensively. I know he's improved from an attacking point of view, but defensively he's playing as poorly now as Ivanovic was under José. Stats
bababoom 4,478
Attacking-wise he's pretty poor, isn't he? he's playing in his preferred position and still look clueless going forward. Stats, LDN Blue, Styles and 1 other
Henrique 9,133
1st Lukaku's goal is perfect to understand Chelsea since 2013. A rejected player humilliated average players like Azpilicueta and Cahill, who were praised since 2013 as world class by a special manager. Its a joke that in 2016 in the starting line up we have Mikel, Cahill, Azpilicueta and Ivanovic, 4 players that looked like kids against Lukaku, a former player who was considered worst than Torres.
