I thought he was excellent today. He also makes the job of the CB next to him so much easier, just look at Gary's form. Ivanovic at any point of his career doesn't compare to those players either, although his power was a big asset for him. He was a CB afterall, and never a ball-playing CBAzpilicueta is a lot more old fashioned. A 90s and early 00s fullback. Of course he's better offensively on the right, with his natural right foot. Even Cole was always decent technically, but he was very astute in his positioning and quite clever in his decision-making (and had great pace and a good first touch).
