Supermonkey92 1,428
Definitely shouldn't sell him, he is a very useful player whonhopefullybgriwsnmore consistant. Maybe his place is to be. Small team king, to score against the bottom half of the league or pull out spectacular free kicks every now and then. I mean, there's still a load of teams his skills are suited for in this league. But the big games, as has been under just since he came he really, he will end up being dropped. Not doubt if we buy another attacking after that could become a foregone conclusion
Popular Post! ILoveLamp 270 Posted October 30, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted October 30, 2014 I think Oscar has been excellent this season to be honest. The perfect foil to Matic-Fabregas, full of running, effort and with decent end product. Not many assists etc, but very often setting up moves in the first place. He is playing deeper this season, and I thinbk he's evolving into a phenomenal player. robsblubot, Ainsley Harriott, sainttourist and 12 others

Like for pete's sake open your eyes, he isn't meant to play like that. You also just don't give a player the number 8 if you're planning to sell him. bababoom, DYC., CurlyHairLikeLuiz and 2 others
ILoveLamp 270
Yes, I don't think Oscar will be going anywhere for a long time. He's central to how the team play. Even if he's overshadowed in terms of assists by Fabregas (who takes corners/freekicks don't forget...), he does a lot more tackling and tracking than people give him credit for, and is instrumental in a lot of our build-up play. chelseafc9010 and kellzfresh

I only wish he gets better at passing. Because people are now man-marking fabregas, so there's added importance in his passing accuracy for us. chelseafc9010, The Chels, Barbara and 2 others

ZanSnake 1,211
I dunno why but i envision Oscar being the dark horse who will score goals that REALLY matter come towards our aims. He just has that skill-set, and with the play he is playing atm, it all seems to connect towards that way. Not a man who impresses with assist and goals but rather works for the team when it truly matters. iseah100

bluesman2610 1,417
Oscar, this is your target... did the math and Juninho only scored 27 goals for Middlesborough but I agree oscar should be aiming to become the top scoring brazilian in PL history he is currently at 13 goals in PL so far going into third season hopefully he can bag double digits this year considering hes scored more every year since he arrived

I'm absolutely aware that Transfermarkt stated Juninho scored 30 Premier League goals BUT if you look at the 1996/97 season, he actually didn't score against West Ham in the 4-1 home win, despite them stating he did. Go through the match details of that game (and I mean other sources, not Transfermarkrt), you would realize he didn't score against them. The goalscorers on that day were Emerson, Robbie Mustoe, Fabrizio Ravanelli and Philip Stamp. In other words, he only scored 12 league goals that season, not 13 as they claimed.
