Daniel Sturridge

The difference is that Sturridge gets ahead of his marker and is able to receive the ball, Torres mostly gets clattered and is unable to be in front of one of the defenders - for a top class striker you have to know where to run in order to position yourself between the ball and the defender.

And as I said it's easier for Sturridge to find space with Drogba on the pitch because Drogba is a big guy and is not as easily marked as Torres is right now. A lot has been said about Torres and the amount of chances that are created for him, but witness this game and see how many times in the first half Torres was able to position himself between one of the central defenders and the ball - it certainly did not happen often enough.

You ever get that feeling...where ya feel the club is going to make a really really bad decision in the transfer market...??? As much as we shrug this off cuz its not "logical" for them to unload one of our prized assets for an underwhelming winger with fast feet, something tells me I'm gonna wake up one morning and it's gonna have happened. I feel that's how volatile and irrational our board can be.
