BlueLion. 21,491
At this stage of the transfer window, you don't sell unless you have already brought replacements in. Sturridge is going nowhere. Unless Liverpool have another £35 million they'd like to throw around?

Duppy Conqueror 1,537
imo it`s all bollax..tho not so much the bid.but on MOTD they were talking about Sturridge on his way out..(hansen and lawrenson) ex Liverpool players perhaps stirring the pot.and on SSN`s this morning they are saying via some tabloids that Liverpool have bid £15 m for him and where i really it gets fishy, they have reported that Chelsea have set £25m as the price for him.i don`t believe that we would let out what a players price is. and certainly not to the media.i just can`t understand why anyone would think we don`t need him ourselves...we only have 2 CF`s ffs ,we need 1 more if anything not 1 less. raghavchamp 2
We can buy Schurrle,Jovetic,Rondon,Guidetti..as back up plus moses....and Studge isn't a team player...selfish and not great attitude....He's no where as good as Torres and has to improve a lot in terms of link up play and many other things...still want to start...!!...25m is too good to turn down....agreed he's excellent talent but he's not gonna succeed if he continues this way....!! Blue Traveler 256
Do we have time to buy a decent striker in time?
Spike 12,049
I enjoy Sturridge's ablity too much for him to just join Sclerosis of the Liverpool. He has so much potential and he is very aggressive in the box which is fantastic. A ruthless striker is a good striker. CHOULO19 24,332
A 25m price tag is as good as saying he is not for sale. I think he is in the boards and RDM plans, he (and the fans for that matter) just needs to be a bit more patient.
Bir_CFC 3,455
Please don't sell him. Get him a contract extension asap!!He's young and has world class ability. Sure he hasn't reached that stage yet and has some flaws right now, but his talent can't be doubted. I think his link up play has improved vastly already based on his little cameos. He should thrive in our new counter attacking higher tempo style. Must give him a proper chance before we throw away such a talent.
Magic Lamps 11,692
but we have to prolong his contract ASAP due to being left in need of strikers could prove a costly issue
Popular Post! Henrique 9,133 Posted August 29, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted August 29, 2012 Selling this guy would be a mistake. He deserves a chance, and imo he is the right man to play as a CF with this new players.I dont trust in Torres. capriccioso 2,545
15-20 million is a great deal. I'd take it, personally. All he's shown to us so far is that he had one great year in 2011- at Bolton and with us. That's not enough to justify 20 million, if we can wring that, it would be great. All we have to do is recall Lukaku/make a Pizarro style signing and we're set. Moses can play as a striker as well. André Pierre Gignac was a player that had one great season, not Strurridge, no way in hell. TorontoChelsea and KonohasOrangeFlash
BleedsBlue 1,549
Why make the same mistake which City made? Danny is going to be one of the best strikers in the world and will deliver when given ample chances.
Sheva. 5,373
Danny is going to be one of the best strikers in the world I have heard this a lot from Chelsea fans and i don't understand the reasoning. He can be good, like Defoe for example, but not one of the best imo. I think it's unlikely he'll ever become one of the best strikers in the world, but I think he could be a very good, even great, player for the next decade.I have not seen anything from him to suggest he can be a great player, but good sure - the type that can get 15-20 odd goals in the league. But that's just my opinion, and like you said, who knows, he might turn out better than that.Inorder to justify my view,he must start as a center forward and be given enough chances to shine. At the moment,Torres's good form is dampening his chances but I am pretty sure Danny will get his time soon as the Spaniard can't play every game of the season. It would be foolish of us to sell him off without giving him the opportunity to prove himself and the others who doubt his potential. If he stays then he'll surely get a chance. Doesn't look like we will be adding another striker atm.
RamiCFC9 258
For me Sturridge right now is 80-82 and his max is like 85-87 (in FIFA language). KonohasOrangeFlash
