Stats 7,147
Ledley Kind had a degenerative knee condition ,not a pulled muscle . Strange comparison as a 18 year old has not fully developed yet and would be expected to pick up muscle injuries, very few 18 year olds play every game in top divisions. He has had to sit out many games because of injuries and that is a worry for me. He has more than once this season had to been subbed off during the match because he has picked up knocks/injuries. Look at Sterling for instance. Same age bracket but is rarely injured. He got a minor injury towards the end of last season but there was times that they were playing him like 90 mins every game and he was able to play on. Shaw picks up far too much injuries which is a shame and I don't think you can link that to his age.
Phil Driver 503
You cant link it to a degenarative terminal injury either, as Ledley King had he was basically a cripple. Shaw is picking up the odd muscle strain ,nothing serious and to be expected for someone of that age . To compare him with King is ridiculous in the extreme. It was probably the same injury that he had not fully recovered from and I doubt there are any long term issues as with Ledley King .
The only place to be 11,313
He may as well retire. He's only completed 13 of the 17 Premier League matches he's participated in this season.

Jase 43,479
JT will surely have his contract extended on this form. Don't see him leaving any time soon.Even though Terry has been playing well this season, he can't go on forever. And like has been said, Namika wrote 'future', which can be 3, 4, 5 years down the road from now. I doubt Terry will still be a starter for us by that time, even if he stays with us till then.Trade? Southampton don't rate Shaw as much as I thought thenOr maybe they just want a replacement for him and if they can get a LB - that is not favored by Mourinho - from us through a trade, then at least it might soften the blow of losing Shaw. Bertrand might not be a talented LB but he is reliable and solid enough to perform consistently.
Spike 12,049
Trade? Southampton don't rate Shaw as much as I thought thenMaybe they have accepted the fact they can't keep Shaw and a trade may be the wisest move becaues they lose a great LB and gain a good LB. The only place to be 11,313
£8 million plus Bertrand seems a remarkably decent deal for us, although if you take all the reports as gospel ( ) then surely that values Bertrand at around the £10 million mark. shellpick 13
Have seen a couple of matches of luke shaw. maybe it is too harsh to be judgemental but I frankly admit that I can't understand why he is so highly praised. perhaps I set the bar too high but anyway if he is not 18 but, say, 23, will he still be wanted so badly? this puzzles me whether I want from this youngster, the ability or the potential. anyway, I simply doubt that his ability is sufficient for the team when Ashley leaves. didierforever 7,349
i was completely against this deal, specially if u take into account our striker and DM issues but if it actually is just 8mil + ryan, we would be stupid not to take this deal.
