Nah, of course not. But's it's just irritating how goals scored has become a barometer for a player's greatness, even when said player is not a striker. Hazard has scored 21, 14, and 17 goals respectively in the last 3 seasons and he's more of a creative winger than a goal-scoring, shoot on site winger. These are great goalscoring numbers for a winger. That's not even taking into account the creative output he brings, which is far greater than some of the names being banded about.

It's a consequence of the Ronaldo-Messi era. And of course 1 or 2 posters with their personal agendas against some of our players. (no point mentioning any names)

Well said. If he could give us around 20 goals a season and create a good amount for his teammates - and he's capable of doing both - I would be more than happy. I don't expect him to ever explode and get Messi/C. Ronaldo numbers.

I'm salivating at the prospect of him feeding Diego Costa. Hazard created some 80+ chances in the league in 13-14, the highest across Europe (even if you take Opta/Whoscored numbers with a 20 or 30% margin based on their definition of 'chances', that's still quite a number) - now imagine Costa and acclimatised versions of Schurrle/Salah/Willian on the end of those ... tasty.

RIght now Bale is also better than Hazard, he scored 21 goals without 1 penalty 2 years ago with the same age Hazard has, And he is playing for Madrid scoring decisive goals in Copa and in CHampions.

FOr me Neymar is by far the best young player in the world. He needs to do a lot more in Barcelona but his talent is really clear, and he is a little younger than Hazard.

Ignore them. Same people that put Bale in that category also think he's better than Neymar. The only young player that's 100% better than Hazard is the latter.

Based on what? Potential? What he's done for his country? What he did at Santos? Bale was better in his first year at Madrid than Neymar was at Barca. Hazard will surpass Bale this year.
