You seem like the type to cry about it after posting the drivel you do.

You would like to start debating the specific points that I’ve made over and over again, but then again you quote a semi joke instead. I mean hazard really goes missing in CL...

Needless to say, most things your write don’t make much sense to me either. I mean in general, not just this thread.

and yet I don’t go about calling you names do I?

What points?

"He belongs in the Europa League"...

What do you want me to debate there? You think our best player is that level despite being a top 5 player in the world.

There is no point debating with someone who can't comprehend what is being said to him in the first place.

Just drivel from you as always.

Great analysis with the "so do you" comeback. Brilliant mate.

7 years ago this funny little Belgian guy arrived at the bridge. Amazingly talented, one of football best dribblers in the world. Already in his first game he made an impact with his signature spin move followed by an inch perfect assist to Ivanovic, a few minutes later proved himself too quick for Wigan's defence => penalty. Little did we knew then that this little boy, who breaths football joy, would be one of the most composed penalty takers the football world has ever seen! The fact that his last ball touch at the Bridge was a vital spot kick to send us to the EL Final is a great way to end: things have come full circle!

Eden's 7 years:

it's been great to have you at the Bridge. It's been great to witness your magic dribbling, passing and shooting skills the past 7 years. It's a semi miracle that a player of his quality was loyal to the club for so many years! And maybe most importantly: he got 4.761.991 tackles and NEVER ever saw him complaining!

A top player, a top personality, a Chelsea Legend! Wish you all the best in your future career and remember where home is: KTBFHH!!!

I remember that as it was yesterday. 7 years man.

I was on this forum for just few months and we we had thread for him because Chelsea was interested. I heard about him before, because I followed ligue 1 quite a lot and Lille was the best team then. I rarely watched ligue 1 games though, but I started after seeing couple of his highlights. He stood out and instantly became my favourite non Chelsea player. I saw plenty games in his final two seasons at lille. In all honesty, besides Chelsea, as a kid, I only watched Real games when Zidane was still there (I was also big France NT fan because of him and hence why I followed ligue 1 too) and then Eden in Lille. If he never came here, Id still watch him play elsewhere definately. He was pure joy to watch. Incredibly talented footballer.

On TC, there were daily discussions, everyone wanted to see him join Chelsea, but it was difficult because we didnt have that pulling power anymore. He was already a superstar by then and it was obvious he will make instant impact anywhere he goes. There was one funny part too, he pulled that mohawk haircut near the end of the season and the entire TC was like ; hopefuly he will have normal haircut if he joins here. :D

Then by the end of season he appeared in lille stadium with his kid dressed in light blue, everyone thought he will join city.

It was dissapointing to realise he wont play for my favourite club.

Sometime later, we won CL, he said he is joining champions and as they say, the rest is history.

I've written countless times about what I dislike in his game, very specific points too.

Regarding your ridiculous name calling, which this forum seems to be ok with these days. You could have started, like, "no, you are wrong, he's great at CL." It would've been a lie, but at least responding to a semi-point I've actually made. Could’ve said he’s great in the pl which is definitely true, but not a cup.

Once again, up to this point, only one of us is name-calling. I made a point that you did not retort, just criticized without any argument.

I see SEVERAL deficiencies in his game, but whatever. That's why I'm not a fan, not because he's leaving. I'm not salty, sad, angry, because I've had the very same opinion for years, and Eden did very little to change that.

the only thing I’m slightly disappointed about is that we did not sell him sooner for more money.

I have mixed feelings about Hazard, especially him leaving at the prime of his career. No big PL WC player since Bale and Modric (Spuds > Real) has done this.

But in reality, the club had one last chance to prove to Hazard we can spring back up with the greats this season. We failed.

Also this is the worst kept secret in history. Announce the departure now. It'll make no difference to us fans since we knew this back in 2018.

Luis Suarez and Coutinho say hello.

One has to say tho, that the WC players leaving the premier league for Barca and Real are getting gradually older again. Ronaldo at 24, Modric and Bale at 26, Suarez 27,  Hazard 28. The new old galacticos like the ones with 30 something van Nistelrooy and Beckham are a trend again^^

Hazard has been our best player since 2014 and will only get worse from now. Surely the inferior La liga will give him a stats boost but I don't think he will be the monster there he was here and I also do not think he is gonna win the CL there. The age of La Liga is over. The age of Orc errr the PL has come. This time for good.

We should only sell if the ban is stayed, if it ain't fuck the £100m and keep him next year should be the only option. I'm not one to slate the club on a whim (quite frankly the FIFA career mode mentality some have makes me cringe) but selling him without a chance to replace will be ludicrously stupid.

It's not the most ideal of situations, but a couple of things to be considered if we sold Hazard and the ban remained would be:

(1) It gives a season in particular for CHO and Pulisic to play more regularly outside the shadow and reliance of Hazard to see if they are both capable of taking the club on in those positions. A season scoping what we already have may help us to avoid going and getting a panic buy in (for example something like Bale). If they both show promising signs of developing and growing then the decision may be made to go forward with these two as our first choice wingers and that money can be spent next summer on other areas of the squad that need it.

(2) Whilst we would all like to think that Hazard has a good and loyal character about him, if we keep him seemingly against his will and he runs his contract down he could end up going anywhere. Who's to say that Real Madrid will want him in another year's time if they've gone and brought other players instead. Next summer we don't have a choice about his destination, heaven forbid he moved to another Premier League club. At least this summer we still have some negotiating power and control over where he would move.

No way he will stay for another season. We will see the worst of him if we forced him to stay (on and off the pitch). Dude has made his mind. Can't stand another year with his interview 'You all know where I want to play' blah blah along the season ever again. Let him go.

Nahh that train has come and gone. Eden has already left the Building and the Club must have known it for some time now. I dont begrudge him this, he has been such a servant and deserve our help if his mind is made up. But of course it will be on our wishes, not RM's. If the Price is 100M, its 100M. Not 70 plus Kova etc. Not 87M only. You pay our value.

CASHING IN

Eden Hazard transfer: Chelsea WILL sell Real Madrid target for £87m this summer to balance books for Financial Fair Play figures

Chelsea are not prepared to run down the Belgian's contract as they fear further financial repercussions - this time from UEFA

Since when we are having problems with ffp?

since we have been refusing to sell dregs like Alonso, Willian, etc etc

our business model is backing up due to only loan fees coming in, plus big outlays, STUPID buys, and when we do sell (like we are in middle of doing with Eden) we get fuckall compare to actual value (think Cuntois, Costa, etc)
