🇧🇪 Eden Hazard

To be honest last year when teams played against Chelsea they very much set up firstly to stop Chelsea playing but they also went about nullifying the threat of Hazard more than any player by doubling up on him and preventing him from playing 1v1 in dangerous areas. Now that we have Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas, I think that gives him a bit more freedom knowing that hes not always gonna be the only player teams really worry about when they face us so he should have a better season than last year, as he doesn't have to carry the team by himself.

I seriously dun't think he'll be a major candidate for Ballon d'or I mean in top 5 or 7 unless he improves his goal scoring record which is not good at all, last season he was good but this season he has managed just 1 goal from 6 apps. I mean compared to other players of similar age group Neymar and Bale whom both are scoring for fun nowdays. Let alone Ronaldo and Messi he's nowhere near them I mean nowhere in terms of output.

Sorry but I can't see him being in top 5 till he improves his output.

Perfect stage for him to take tonight's game by the scruff of the neck. He's had a really good start to the season but the CL is where I want him show everyone how fucking good he is.

Why does he constantly give interviews stating the same ole shit... ambition , aspire to reach messi and Ronaldo's level etc. Even if the interviewers are prompting him with the same questions all the time, his answers are getting quite repetitive. Whenever I see a link to his interviews now I always expect to see similar quotes.

A bit like Fabregas always going on about his circumstances for leaving Barca and joining us. if the interviewers ask the same ole questions, players are actually allowed to change the subject and not give the same ole answer to the same ole question.

As you say, he's getting asked the same boring shitty questions and just say the same boring shit in response. It's the journalists job to ask of something more interesting, can't blame him for auto piloting that shit.

Yer we want to hear/see something different. like his fav pornstar for example. Asa akira or skin diamond will be a good start :P

I thought he played pretty well, definitely better than against Villa. He was pushed and fouled a lot, created a couple of chances, though no shots again.

At this rate, we should just create a thread 'Did Hazard take a shot in the game against...'...

reduce the expectations and you'll be so much happier with eden. No player should be expected to be a future balon' dor winner (maybe 1 or 2) but Just look at Eden as a Iniesta hybrid and you'll realize goals aren't really that important to his game.

His lack of scoring is the reason I like to see Schurrler starting game though. Only Costa as a goal threat is not ideal

I think on the ball hazard is brilliant, need to work on his off the ball movement. Basically watch schurlle movement

I'm not so sure - he's a frustrating player to watch sometimes - one game he can be slick and pass/move - least night he kept holding the ball, slowing things down - and seemed to be very static.

On his day - he is unbelievable, but on an average day he's not much fun to support...

Hope he now has a stormer against Arsenal to prove me wrong! :)

He could have had a few assists the last games if it wasn't for poor finishing, he also missed out on a 1 v 1 thanks to an off side Shürlle. If he had scored that one or if his assists were converted he might have been considered our best player on the field.

That's the thing about passes. If they aren't converted, they don't "count," no matter how good the passes are. Eden could have had a few assists, but so could Oscar, and so could Cesc. But terrible finishing ruined it. We'd better sort it out before Arsenal game.

It just goes to show how fine the line is between 'not doing enough' and 'world-class!!1!1!1!'.
