Was doing some rehabilitation work on his own outside today according to CTV:

Nice vid. Lol at the guys signing. lol at Lamps with his jacket tied around his waste like he's going boating or something. Cahill has an incurable habit of touching his ears when he gives interviews.

The award immediately loses its credibility with the exclusion of premier league's best midfielder, David Silva, who has been utterly unplayable all season. from the list, Toure probably deserves the POTY award on the basis of consistency (suarez has been anonymous in most of the big games, a flat track bully basically) and it's a tie between Hazard and Sturridge for the young player award.

And why is shaw on the list but Seamus coleman and azpilicueta aren't.

Suarez and Sturridge

Just to complete the pool wankfest

sturridge deserves the YPOTY though. He has better productivity/stats and impact than arguably every nominee for the category and that's despite the injuries he's battled with all season.

There's a good case for both players, but of course you immediately discount the Chelsea player because....well, you're you.

Hazard has been the most creative player on a team that lacks a decent striker, yet he's carried the team at times and shown up when we've needed him. It's a toss up between the two but there's no doubt that Eden would be an exceedingly worthy winner.

He's also at least two years older than the oldest nominee and 5 years older than the others. He was born in 1989, that means he's 25 years old. To put that into perspective that's one year younger than Juan Mata, Costa, Lewandowski etc. That's such an unfair advantage. The cutoff for that award really should be 23.

He was 23 when the season started and is now 24.

21 would be even better. I find it ridiculous that proven world class players bought on massive transfer fees such as Hazard are even nominated for an award that in my opinion should only be given to a player who's made his breakthrough to the highest level in the last year or two. You know, players like Shaw, Barkley etc.

He turned 24 in 1st of September meaning he was 23 for only a few weeks in the season. You have players like Sterling and Shaw competing against a player that's five years older than them. If he's producing better stats/performances than them it's because he should be as he's significantly older.

No offense but if he isn't fully fit no point playing him. We have seen Shrek missing like 2 clear cut chances for MU 2 weeks ago against Bayern because of a toe injury which really never fully recovered. That and the intensity of Atletico Hazard would not be able to keep up and will most likely end up ineffective anyway. IF he isn't at 80%+, no point playing him or even put on the bench. Even if we go behind on Tue it is not like we are gonna go all out to get equaliser by any mean. Just hope he is back for next week against Pool
