Talking from Hazard's POV. He's been begging them to come sign him for so many years. Imagine if after all that overselling of himself and Real still be like "WHATEVER!" and go sign Neymar or Mbappe instead.

That seems to be the reason he is still leaving the doors open here at Chelsea. 'You know my feelings for Real, but at Chelsea it is great...' It would be difficult for him to express his desire to actually leave and watch Real spend big on the PSG players and ignore him. It is sad we are depending on Madrid's stance. I wish he had those feelings for Chelsea too.

In that case I wouldn't be against getting Isco + 80-100mil since Isco has some problems with the coach.

Hahah mate that's not gonna happen. Isco has 3½ years left on his contract, Hazard has 1½.... We'll be lucky to get 100mill flat for Eden without any swapsies. However I wouldn't mind a Isco<->Hazard swap, it would be pretty fair considering the circumstances both clubs are facing.

I think we end up getting nothing, and Hazard leaves on a free in 2020. Is one year of Eden REALLY worth £100m plus his wages? HELL NO. They won't even swap Isco. Probably not even Kovacic.

I would just wait and tell Eden that they will pay him an extra £100,000 PW above anything we offer or so starting in 2020.

Its madness to pay 100m quid PLUS another 100m or so in salary (over 5 years) for a soon to be 28yo, when you can pay half that in a year.

Maybe Kovacic they say 'Fuck it, we toss him for a prime extra year of Eden.' That will also put kiss of death on Mateo, as your basic punter will just look at him as the player we swapped for Eden fucking Hazard (they wont cut slack about 1 year left on contract).

Best hope is Eden shocks us all and renews. I doubt it happens. Our board is SHIT, SHIT I say!

This is what I'm thinking too mate,

As RM are reportedly getting in trouble with FFP apparently AND as it looks they seem to have an abundance of creative players. Like us they are in need of goal scorers. Eden is not that man they need for that job.

So they might be open to the Isco swap so they still have a wedge to spend on a striker.

Im quite surprized we haven't been offered and strongly linked with Bale. Who probably would actually score a few goals.

They want Neymar (LW so no Eden needed) and Icardi, but it looks grim for all with Icardi

If only Hazard feels about Chelsea the same way his good friend Azpi does, eh?

Madrid actually need goalscorers than creators like Hazard, they have creators in abundance. If they don't get FFP to pile pressure on PSG so that they can get Neymar, then they'll come for Hazard. If there is gonna be a player exchange involved, it'll probably be Kovacic.

He's replacable, especially since he only turns up every four-five matches.

We couldnt even replace Costa who was lesser player than Hazard and only turned up for half a season.

Sure there are players in other teams and we could improve the team even if Hazard leaves. Similar to what Liverpool did after Suarez left. Now they might not have a player as good as him, but much better team and manager. Unfortunately our board is wack and if we lose Hazard it will took 5 years before we turn it around.

Eden Hazard FC, replacable my butt.

Scores a 1v1 (admittedly Morata would miss it) and his mis-hit shot sets up a goal for Pedro and suddenly he's the best player in the world again. Incredible.

We won trophies without him in the past and we will continue to win trophies without him in the future.

He's a good player sure but we won't go bust without him. People continue to make us everything about Hazard is really BS! Hell, it might even be a blessing in disguise if he does leave because we might become more of a team rather than relying on a single player!

And what makes you think our board will get proper replacements?

Liverpool has 3 TOP attackers. City has even more. We have Eden. Even with him, we should still aim to get two players next to him on similar level. But the board is happy with what we have.

If Hazard leaves, at best we will spend shitload of cash on ONE new player. And then pray he turns good.

We did the same with Costa who was replaced by Morata. And Matic with Bakayoko.

If people think we will suddenly sign two top players to make a better team if Hazard leaves, they are living in fantasy world.

We wont be able to attract the likes of Dybala or Griezmann, so we will target someone a level below that. And he is still going to be expensive as shit and the outcome might be either a positve or another Morata scenario. In the later case, we would be screwed.

So yeah, for the moment the best for the club is if Hazard stays and Chelsea decides to actualy buy someone on similar level to Hazard, something we should have done years ago.

Well, I never said the process was going to be a smooth one...

IF it's going to take few years to 'rebuild' ourselves for the better, then it might be a fun ride to experience...

Agree but I would prefer we get someone before Hazard leaves, so the transition will be easier. Having no "star" player will push us at least one place further down.

We are not Eden Fc and will continue to play at top level after he leaves, but there is no denying he is by far our best player and brings 1/3rd of points per season easily.

If we want to win any title or even finish top 4 anytime soon, he has to stay. He is simply that important even if people dont see it. What makes us serioud title contender is another player like Hazard. Costa was that in some spells, but now we dont have anyone else. Solution to a better team will be to bring more Hazard level players, not selling him to buy 2 promising ones.

And in the end we dont need to sell Eden to generate money for another star player either. There is enough cash to spend already and plenty of deadwood to get rid of if we need more money.

That said, idealy I would understand Hazard sale, establishing CHO in his role and strenghten other areas too, a process that would take few years like you said, but it would pay off. However the club is a mess at the top and I dont believe they can pull off something like that. They lack knowledge, trust and belief in our youth to do it. At best we would throw all cash at couple players and pray sarri makes them work or fire him if he doesnt. Rinse and repeat.

Eden is going to leave, I am 90% sure

We also are going to be lucky to get half what he is worth, or even nothing, if he leaves on a free in 17 months.

Nothing good is going to happen in terms of becoming a perennial CL again until the club is sold.

Abramovich is a targeted man.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/12/07/romanabramovich-list-six-russian-oligarchs-targeted-uk-intelligence/

We may likely get seized if he doesn't sell. Not having a laugh in the slightest. The US/UK/NATO alliance is going to way asymmetrically with Putin and his cronies, and Roman is a huge target. Wait till the Trump shit really starts to blow up and we undergo a hard Brexit (which is going to make the US a huge key to trade, etc).

I expect nothing truly good to happen in January and we will eventually get well and truly fucked over Eden.

I am just going to hope we can finish 3rd or 4th in EPL and have a true go at winning the EL.

I've no trouble with Eden playing CF regularly --maybe not every single match, but it can work.

I don't think Eden will hit the target as well as Aguero, but I just realized that they are the same size: 5'8" with huge quadriceps.

Getting another CF soon will do us good, but I think getting Willian and Alonso out of our lineup will be best moves of all.

I hope Eden stays.
