I remember when I was an advocate of Mbappe hoping and praying we get him early while he was in Monaco. What a player he's turned out to be, incredible.

Hopefully we try to get Malcom from Barcelona if we cant get Hazard to stay in the summer.

Chiesa from Fiorentina FTW. Those cunts owe us one after the Salah nightmare. A front 3 of CF Piątek, LW Chiesa and RW Bailey is vastly superior to what we have now, even with no Eden and Piątek being a newcomer to monster status.

Lets show the world our Blue Ambition is Domination again!

He's become big-headed, he believes the hype he's getting. It's fine as long as he performs to justify the hype, but I'm worried about complacency a bit. When you declare yourself the best at something, then there is nothing left to improve yourself upon, you've reached the peak and you become comfortable where you are. I suspect Sarri's comments recently are an attempt to bring his feet back to the ground. It's clear we are a fall-back option in case "his dream" don't come in with a bid. It's a slippery slope when a player feels the club needs him more than he needs them. But... if he keeps performing like he has and takes us top 4 and then leaves for greener pastures, I will not hold any grudges - still a legend.

The comment he made about 'being best in the world' was just him being cheeky as usual with the Belgian/English media.

Questions like 'are you the best in the world today' are stupid questions anyway, and Hazard answers those in kind.

Remember, this is a player who, just 2 weeks ago, was asked to name the 3 best players of the premier league and never put himself in that list.

As for the Mourinho comments, nothing surprising. Him, Drogba and Mourinho were really close during that 2014-2015 season. He might dislike Mourinho's tactics, but I don't think he has anything against the man. Same would apply to Conte as well.

I actually like Hazard being open about everything. It is refreshing to see players like that in this age. It might grate some fans, but I still think its better than the players who say one thing and then stab the club and its fans later.

Take away his flirting with Madrid (pretty much since he joined us) and you get the most level-headed, modest pro you could imagine. People are starting to get nervous because he hasn't signed da ting yet

Right but why should we “take away” his blatant and constant flirting with another club? That’s unprofessional to say the least.

besides, his actions, by being unwilling to negotiate a new deal, perfectly match what he says, esp lately.

Sell Hazard AND Kante in January for £300m.

Sell the rest of the cuntish deadwood

Buy

Icardi OR Dybala or (dice roll but looking good) Piątek

Chiesa

Baily

de Jong (to replace Kovacic)

De  Ligt

Junior Firpo

João Cancelo (if you do not see he is THE perfect Sarriball RB, I don't know what to say)

make a fucking stab at NEVES

outcome................ VASTLY better team

for all you haters on this, talk to me when you are worth 10 billion quid

We would be crazy to do both of that in January. It would not be possible to get those replacements in January either. I love your wishful thinking though :D but no way would it be possible to get Icardi or Dybala in January. Piatek still needs more time to develop before thinking we can just place him as no.1 striker for a major club. Luiz gets far too much criticism by our fans. He has been excellent past few games but because it is Luiz, you will not hear about it until he makes a mistake agaib.

It's not like he runs to the press every chance he gets to talk about Madrid, it's mostly during international breaks where (oftten Belgian) journalist ask him the same questions. Should he avoid them? He probably should, but he's too friendly.

Concerning his new deal: You don't know how his contract negotiations are going, so not sure why you say he's unwilling. He's at a crossroads in his career, he's at the right age to look for that last supertransfer, but then for the first time at Chelsea he has a coach that plays to his strengths while promising signings have been made. Surely you can see the difficult choice he has to make?

Hazard hasn't become big-headed. He's always made comments like that. The level he's playing at right now and the worldwide adulation he's been receiving of late (heavily) increases the impact of these kinds of comments. But they've always been tongue-in-cheek. He's a joker.

I do agree with the fact that this is much. I've never had a problem with him being open. I don't have a problem with any player being open. But the frequency has gone up and it's a bit much now. He needs to be smarter.

As for the transfer rumours, I anticipated this. When he signed, I never expected him to stay to the end. He's not British and these kinds of talents are wanted all over the continent. I'm sure he used to fantasise about playing for a couple of top teams. Real Madrid representing the peak of the mountain. A move after a few years at Chelsea was always the most likely route.

But something obviously changed. He likes his current situation. It's possible he even loves it. So does he stay at Chelsea? He's happy here so a move away isn't necessary. If he leaves he might end up even happier. But he could also leave and not feel as happy as he does at Chelsea right now. Dreams don't always match reality.

It's a very difficult decision. So I understand him. But right now it's a bit much with the Real talk.

Longer we wait, the less we get, possibly zero for Hazard, if we drag it out till summer after next. Kante doesn't impress me as a non DMF destroyer (which he is the best in world at). Why wait and lose well over 150 million pounds total plus in valuation? Eden isn't renewing, it high time we faced this fact.

Our board is shit and will end up destroying our future. Roman is a spent force, needs to sell to another billionaire worth far more. At the rate geo-politics is going, ALL his  Western assets will be seized, including CFC.

Doubt me, mock me, watch it all unfold.

Really like the fact he’s playing unbelievably but this whole Madrid and dream shit is doing my box in. If it wasn’t Hazard it would be a big deal too.

He should stop talking/entertaining these questions, it’s not the first time and all this doesn’t want to leave the club on bad terms means fuck all to me if he is going to continuously say shit like “its my dream” and “Real Madrid are the best club in the world” in a weekly or monthly basis when we’ve got more important goals like getting back in the CL at least.

Regarding Spain/Real, Courtois said something similar years ago which wasn’t construed as nothing but a general comment and then look how that eventually panned out. Sure Eden isn’t Thibaut but he should respect he has a contract and more important things to concentrate on this season than a move to Real Madrid (improving, helping club get best finish and having better individual consistency than we’ve seen at times during last season and also 2/3 years ago).

I guess people will say we should let him off with it because he’s a world class player but I don’t think so, it’s disrespectful to the club and his team mates. How many world class players do this?

Heh a lot other players handle those questions 100x better. Yes stay polite, but say you cannot comment on transfer talk. Let the agents talk. It really isn't his place to answer these question while he is well employed by Chelsea. Chelsea is being very nice here.

About the contract, that's not how footballers think about their careers: they (and their agents) fully understand that their time to earn money (esp high wages) is limited, so they rarely refuse bumps the clubs offer. Contracts may even contain certain clauses such as minimum fee, a percentage of the fee, and so on. For me, the fact he has waited this long can only mean he does not want to sign. I have a hard time believing any other explanation -- it just does not make sense in my head.

Like we've discussed here, the market may change and RM may not be so interested, but I think Eden has made abundantly clear - by actions as well as talk - what he wants.

Well if anyone is still frustrated by tthe constant talk, its claimed that Hazard has decided to halt any mention of Real Madrid at least until the summer.

I don't know the source of this, but it was mentioned in passing in one of the recent Daily Mail articles on Hazard

You lost me already on the first step there...

Why would we sell our top two best players?! I'd wait until the summer for Hazard's verdict but both in January? I'd never sell Kante, never ever.

Yeah I was bamboozled when I read Vesper's post.  It would equal shooting ourselves in the foot and losing out on top 4. Luckily the people upstairs aren't as rash.

You can either sell Hazard or lose him on a free. The longer we wait, the less he get. It isn't rocket science.

Kante is a different case. He is the best traditional DMF in the world, BUT our system doesnt use that role. So far he is doing nothing extraordinary in his new role. I give him until summer probably to show that he can excel in new role. If not, it is foolish to keep him when he can generate a huge amount in sale returns, returns used to buy vitally needed upgrades, upgrades tailor-made for Sarriball.

The argument against selling Kante is that Sarri may well be sacked a year or 2 from now, in which case 99% of potential replacement managers would use Kante again as a trad DMF destroyer.

I try to have faith in the Sarriball system for now, faith that it outlasts Kante IF he doesn't adapt.

Well, surely this coming summer, especially for a non renewing Hazard.

Obviously if we did sell them in January replacements would be needed to be lined up and done as well.

Or we can just let Hazard wind down contract and leave on free and hope we win something in next year and a half.

I have almost no faith in the board to so anything to sort this all out.

I feel Hazard will leave in the summer ... he's making the right noises and doing a balancing act so that no one turns against him. He must have taken a cue out of Courtois situation ... the way he acted and the response he received from the fans. I believe Hazard is smart enough to understand the situation, he will play for Real Madrid while achieving his dream and he could make a come back to the club when he is no longer in his prime. Chelsea gives any footballer the chance of competing at the highest level while staying in one of the best cities in the world.

The current situation at Madrid is only helping Hazard and the club, because of which we wouldnt sell him below 200m. Dont get me wrong, I dont want Hazard to go but I feel it is going to be his one last shot at achieving his dream.

No offense, but selling Hazard in January is ridiculous no matter how hard you slice it. We are chasing top 4, Hazard is the top scorer in the league at the moment, why do you want to f*** it up by selling him? And even if you want to, there are no decent replacements ready in January so we will be staring at Europa League for another season, especially when we have none scorers of Morata and Giroud.

There will be big games that Kante will be used as a traditional DMF. And yes, he's not doing anything extraordinary but I'd still rather keep him then going for players we may never get.

...if you have NO faith in the board to sort this out...

...why do you think the board will listen to your wishlist and get those replacements you wanted? The board will most likely cash in the profits they got with Kante and Hazard instead of getting solid replacements.

The January sales are probably unrealistic, especially if Asensio or some other massive replacement is not lined up at same time (which is only way I would do it). The comment was born out of frustration and probably ill-advised.

Do you really think the board would just bank the profits and not buy replacements? If so then we really are headed for a huge fall unless the team is sold.
