So Hazard wanted to leave straight after the 2018 World Cup, but Chelsea said no. I mean, most of us knew about this but wasn't entirely sure but that has now been confirmed by the horse's mouth.

He desperately wanted to get out of Chelsea for a long time now.

Legend some say, but in truth he was a great player to play for us, maybe the most talented player we've ever had but that's all, everyone deep down knows he was a mercenary.

John Obi Mikel labels Eden Hazard ‘the laziest player I’ve ever played with

“He didn’t like to train hard. While we were working he was waiting for us to finish training just standing there. But on Sundays he was always man of the match, it was unbelievable.”

When asked who the hardest working player he’s played alongside was he said “Frank Lampard,” with no hesitation whatsoever.

Probably all true. This is why Hazard with all the ability he has, will still never get to that next level because he is a bit more chilled out and perhaps lazier than someone of his level should be.

I doubt Mikel meant this in a bad way because he knew first hand Eden is so good but with a little more dedication he could potentially go that step closer to those 2 at the top.

I think Cesc said if he was more greedier and wanted to score more goals or be a bit more selfish he could have gotten closer too. Was the start of last season he said that IIRC.

Of course he still follows Chelsea :D......He will forever remain a Blue and he knows it.

And he aint wrong either, with 3 quality additions that fit the style we would do damage. I think he would have thrived under Lamps, and give us that extra edge.

His CL record was always poor here and at Lille. In the big games I cant remember him really having any huge performances bar Atletico under Conte. Maybe be a few games against smaller teams he has excelled but that wont sit right with the Real fans though, he will be judged if that doesnt improve although even Bale has decided CL finals for them and they dont like him...

This constant narrative of the ten around during most of his time here let him down.

What's the excuse going to be if things stay the same two years from now?
