The only place to be 11,313
And there's my point in a nutshell. Hazard is Chels, so let's defend him.Not for me. If Luis Suarez had have done this, there would be a witch-hunt. But as you say, this will hopefully have blown over by the weekend. Thank fuck we have a game in just four days. Need to get this out of the system. If Luiz Suarez parked in a disabled spot in fucking Tescos there'd be a lynch mob outside his house because there's a certain type of person in this country who lives to find things to be outraged by. They love it and the media will never go short of exploiting it.

AfricanBlue 104
The PR disaster is getting knocked out of the cup by Swansea and if the image of the club is that if you act like a prat we'll kick you I'm all for that. Now if the kid had been black that would be a PR disaster. MAF
Spike 12,049
I'm pretty sure if you kicked out at a 17 year old in front of hundreds of people the police would inquire about it too.I did that once in school. Police didn't inquire but I was suspended for 5 days. Also I didn't nudge that 17 year old in the ribs, I kicked him in the face and chest several times. TacticalBlues 2,817
This will obviously not be the end of it. We are talking about English football here. He will probably end up with a 10 game ban which comes into force in 2015 once the FA have come to a 'quick' decision in their kangaroo court.I said IMO but I know the media won't stop.South Wales Police are investigating an incident involving Eden Hazard and ball boy following complaintsAbsolute farce. This is what tax payers money is wasted on? However, here I'm certain nothing will come of it. Both have apologised, the 17 year old kid admitted he timewasted so I hope this subsides quickly. Infact I'd presume the ballboy won't want it pursued if he has any conscience. Atholy and Superblue

Superblue 6,372
Deary me! I called it a few minutes ago. Unfortunately that is the tribal nature of the game nowadays for any fans to get 'one up' on another team, and the pathetic laws in place in this country. Popular Post! Atholy 1,293 Posted January 23, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted January 23, 2013 I really don't care whether people have a go at me for my opinion on this matter, but you simply cannot do that. Hazard deserves the hate for his idiocy; Benitez deserves the fault for his negative tactics, piss-poor team selection and motivation skills; Ivanovic needs a slap for his two errors in the first leg; but the lad deserves none of it. If it was the opposite way round and a Stamford Bridge ballboy did that, we'd be praising him and baying for the blood of the offending player. Hazard has no defence in my eyes and his actions warrant the 3-5 game ban heading his way.No defence??If this comes to court or being investigated, they will be looking at facts.Hazard: football player at Chelsea who's job is to play footballBall boy: help aside the pitch to make sure the ball can be put back into play as soon as possibleFact: a ball boy (17 years old) is lying on a ball (????) for several seconds! => clearly is not fulfilling his job!! Fact: a football player kicks a ball boy => this can be seen as an assaultEvidence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=pS97DRBj2zg#t=28sThis video shows Hazards clearly kicks the ball from underneath the kid, by doing this being able to continue his race for 2 goals.IF the tweet of the ball boy is real... this will be seen as "premeditated" => with the video evidence this should hugely influence the case. IF the tabloid circus successfully turn this in a scandal story, that will dominate newspapers for the next days (week?) ... and by doing this affecting this case as being seen as an assault or whatever.... that would clearly show the complete idiocy of the British Newspapers!! Of course I will be biased because I'm Belgium... but this is all about facts! Fact is that he kicked a ball underneath a ball boy who is lying on the ball for several seconds (??? why???). Eden didn't high kick the boy in the face when he was trying his utmost to do his job! So everybody who's going anywhere in this direction IMO isn't any better than all these tabloid losers => sensation, sensation sensation! didierforever 7,349
But it still hit the kid. This stupidity has hurt the image of the club.nothing hazard can or could do can ""hurt"" the image of the club than it already has been. we are the ""rich, spoilt, bad boys"" for the english media and the footballing world in general.swansea had probably trained their ball boys to do this because it wasn't just one but all of them, which is a bit of a disgrace and disrespect towards the game. Anybody would be frustrated. i remember a throw in for which mata had to run back about 10-15 metres to give the ball to azpi because thats where the ball boy had thrown the ball. if anythin it is swansea who should be getting the stick... by the way what the hell was the ball boy doing in that position anyways... behind the goal and in front of the banners. i mean is not tht the goalies ball to retrieve. i remember cech being yellow carded against barca for being slow in retrieving the ball from behind the goal. but obviously no one would question that.IMO, hazard does not deserve the stick he is getting for this. he might have "hit" the ball boy but it was merely a toe poke to get the ball from underneath the boy. there are so many flying tackles and shit in football but this is not one of them. i dont think hazard had any intention of hurting the kid which is the most important thing for me. Xtraxion 100
Society wants sensation. This is so ridiculous out of proportion. No common sense at all. Hazard made a mistake tho, no doubt about that. But now media will portray him like a monster.
