We've seen Drogba, Lampard, Ashley Cole, Cech, Terry, Zola, Essien, Mikel, Makelele - 

most of us consider Hazard to be beyond all of them I'm sure

yet we'll still find so many other fans saying he's overrated

He's our best ever player. For them to not accept that notion at face value and presume it true is idiotic.

I don't want to start a debate about this, but I think the only player to match him in Premier League history is Henry. And I don't think Henry was better.

Drogba comes close, but remains just a spot behind. Ronaldo's time here doesn't even come close, which is pleasing to say.

There's extra pleasure in watching him when he's that hungry for a goal. I think he relaxed a bit in a second half, but then again he started to wanting it more and more. I hope he'll keep this desire.

Playing that supporting striker role has elevated him to a new level. It was always criminal to limit him to one flank, he thrives in that central role where he has the freedom to roam wherever he wants. Can't believe that at one point he was actually being moulded into a left midfielder with all the tracking back he had to do, it was never going to work. Absolutely devastating player when set free.

I don't know why pundits (some) say he's in the same bracket as Messi and Ronaldo. Ronaldo is clearly (unfortunately) completely mortal now, not even as good as Robben/Ribery just 2-3 seasons ago.

Hazard is better than Ronaldo. Yes it took Ronaldo declining for this to happen, but it's happened.

What's even more absurd are random fans who say, with all seriousness, 'How is Hazard the 2nd best when Neymar exists???' (with as many claiming Neymar's the best in the world....)
It's shocking to me, almost to the point of anger, that people think so simply not to consider Neymar would be absolutely ordinary playing for the likes of us, Tottenham, Lille, whichever team that isn't absolutely bloated all over the field - yet Hazard regardless of his team, would clearly play in his way which lends itself to him always, always shining. It shouldn't even need explained. Too many people form their opinions based on highlights, flair & the newest Fifa game.

Actually disagree. I think Neymar is one of those very few players, like Hazard, who can literally carry sides. He doesn’t need a specific system to be the consistent game changer he is.

His performances with Brazil over the years are massive indicators. Don’t forget WC14 where he literally carried Brazil’s game going forward for example. He had Fred, Oscar and Hulk as attacking companions lol.

Yes, well, they are both on that level, close to each other I would say. But most of people doesn't even want to compare them, because IT'S NEYMAR, next football's Brazilian God. Hazard was our only consistently brilliant player in both of our titles, he was our main man. Two titles, in most demanding league in world, being main man. Naymar proved himself on some other ways, but they both are there, fighting for second spot behind Messi.

Completely agree.

For me Hazard and Neymar are at the same level. I will put current Messi at the same bracket, 30 years old messi not prime messi. Prime messi was almost at extraterrestrial category.

Hopefully we can have a strong enough squad to challenge for UCL because player at this level should challenge for UCL every year.

IMO, Messi is still in his prime, only now he is playing in way way inferior Barcelona than from last decade, so he can't look like God with likes of Rakitic, Paulinho, Delofeu etc. alongside him... Still clearly the best player though.

When he was in his "prime", he was better dribbler and quicker, now he is better FK taker and passer. He is just evolving, no way he is past his prime.

Don't get me wrong. He is still a wonderful player but that young and prime Messi was just ridiculous. You can see every time he touched the ball, the other team defenders were just frightened of him
