David Luiz

I don't want him to go at all. But if he were to go... well, Zouma would make me feel good again. It's rare to find a character and player like Luiz but just sometimes u gotta let 'em go. (And Zouma is a damn good leader and I just know we'd all adore him as a player after not too long.)

If there's no incoming Zouma though I think him leaving would literally make me feel sick.

I think Mourinho would love a player like Luiz. He may get frustrated with him if he spends a lot of time out of position, but hes a player i can really see mourinho wanted to mould to what he wants. I really see Mourinho pushing Luiz further up the pitch as well.

and im sure there were quotes (flase obviously, just like these reports) of Mourinho saying he sees Luiz as the future captain of this club...

sick of all the media rumours during the off season. does my tits in.

come on EPL! return!

French media report he's not in Mourinho's plans, do they have concrete source to say so ?

I don't think Jose himself knows what his plans are atm, he still haven't had a single training session with any of the players yet.

He's having a bad game tbh. Worst game he's had in a while. No doubt his detractors will overlook his consistently good form over the whole season and use this game as "proof" that he's rubbish though. Hopefully he picks it up and has a stormer in the 2nd half.

Yeah terrible game by Luiz. He's been assigned to deal with the high balls in the box because Thiago is shorter than him, but we all know it is David's main weakness.

Both Thiago and David are pretty weak in the air. Though David at least has the height to improve; wonder if the broken nose is bothering him a bit (confidence with the headers).

His distribution is good as always though; really cannot compare him to Thiago with the ball at their feet. Thiago passes like a center back...

I think it's the whole Brazilian mentality he seems to have. I mean 'Brazilian' in an attacking/flair sense. It's like he feels like he has to defend with flair or some crap; he tries too hard and forgets the simple things.

He does it every season with us: plays well in the second half of the season, picks up form and then goes off on his holiday to Brazil and comes back with more samba crap at the start of next season.

Hopefully José can smack some sense into him because he has all the tools to become truly world class.

Having one of the worst games of his career today. It is 10 vs 12, basically Brazil vs Uruguay + Luiz!

it's funny though, Thiago assists for the goal and gets no criticism...

Honestly, it's easy to focus on the CBs when they get no support.

^^ It's the right mentality BTW... we/they've got the titles to support it. But, yes, we could away with the unnecessary wrestling, especially inside the box! :)

Don't think Mourinho or any other managers for that matter will still be clueless about their plans when pre-season is not far off. He would have already done his homework, thought about his plans and have ideas on what to do already but what's probably certain is, he will give the players (ones that he might have doubts on) chance to prove him wrong and change his plans.

Yes I meant he won't have his plans for Luiz figured out already. Watching players in games is completely different than seeing them in training. He'll have to see him train before he decides on his plans for him.

That's pretty much what I meant. He will have an idea of what to do with Luiz (and others) in regards to his plan but there is still time to change that...

(and you should have made clearer the first time if you are talking about Luiz, specifically!)
