Duppy Conqueror 1,565 Posted February 1, 2011 Share Posted February 1, 2011 Great signing for the future..can contribute this year but not expecting too much from him until next season..although we got good depth at the LB position he could play there too..perhaps also in the future we could play with a back three of from right to left Ivanovic, Alex ,Luiz with attacking wing backs. he gives us good options at the back anyway and i see us getting back to having the best defense in England again now thanks to us signing him.. Didn't want to imply "hey sturridge, when you come back from loan you don't have a number". I was just thinking if Sturridge didn't have any special feelings for the number he may vacate it and grab another. I don't know how often that happens in Europe but in North American team sports it happens quite often when a new player comes in that he's given his normal number and the current user takes another but only if the current user suggests it. Would love to see that.Great deal. Good job Chelsea negotiators .23 is my favourite number so if he wears it, i'll automatically like him.
