Good interview with Luiz today, he thanks Mourinho for trusting him and putting him in against Bayern at the expense of Terry. Good picture of him and Schweinsteiger chatting too. The story, which has been confirmed by Schweinsteiger, goes that just before Drogba scored the equaliser in the Champions League final, Luiz told Scheweinsteiger "and now we score".

We lost, but I was very happy to make my debut. It was special, I came as a sub during second half, but we didn't win.

The team improved a lot. Most players had just won the Champions League what's no easy feat. There was a stop and we didn't make it out of the group stage. It was sad, but then we won Europa League and we were happy again. We'll definitely improve even more this year.

Who are the contenders for UCL?

Same as last year: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern and in my opinion Chelsea as well. We are European champions in two years in a row, I'm positive we will win the UCL again.

Are you this confident because now Chelsea have Mourinho?

He's a great manager. His training sessions are very good and Chelsea is going to grow a lot under him in a lot of aspects. It's hard to say much as he has just started his work with us and we need to see what he'll change in the team, but with me so far so good. Football is what I like, it's where I feel comfortable. People say I'm shy because of my interviews, but truth is I don't like interviews, so I get quieter, but among friends I'm more easy going.

You've said many times you love London, how is life there?

My wife and I enjoy the city a lot, sight seeing, getting out for dinner, etc. London is an amazing city, there are a lot of things to do and the fans respect our privacy.

How do they react [fans] when they meet you on the street?

Sometimes they ask to take a pic, but they always say it can be later (if he's having dinner for example). They're very polite. At the stadium they support the team the whole time, shouting, chanting. Off the pitch they treat you like normal people, unlike in Brazil where there's some sort of celebrity status.
