LDN Blue 7,903
There was a bit of chemistry tonight, didn't see a lot but there was something there. Shame we don't have enough games to experiment though. Our next league game is at Anfield v. Liverpool - Though I don't think Torres should even be in the match day squad Maybe in the Blackburn home game? Kezza 1,965
It was a bit difficult to see if it really worked tonight as newcastle sat everyone behind the ball. But it it wasn't shit.
Jase 43,479
Still don't think it's gonna work. IF RDM wants to test it, do it in the remaining two PL games, not the finals!!
Hysteria 159
We need to prove this in the rest of the league...Sturridge was shocking today.
Sheva. 5,373
This would probably work if we had freaking wingers.

Superblue 6,372
Both Carlo and Jose are right. Drogba 'eats alive' his competition. We don't get the best out of either IMO when they are playing together.I love Drogba for what he has done for the club, and he deserves his moment of destiny in the Champs league final and hopefully signs off on a high, but he needs to leave this summer to allow Torres to flourish. And Torres does not need a strike partner, he simply needs support.HOWEVER, we need a plan for the Champs League final because Sturridge, Kalou and Malouda are not good enough, and playing a 4-2-3-1 will mean we have to pick two from this shambles! ulsterchelsea 3,221
Maybe worth a try but it means rearranging the usual formation
Drogzola 283
I voted yes, we might as well experiment with formations and starting line ups in PL. Drogba up top and Torres just behind him. Drogba can give great assists and we have seen that Torres likes a bit of space to work with.Would something like this work? Also the Question mark is for a suggestion for a player in that position. CechIvanovich Cahill/Luiz Terry Cole/Bertrand Mikel/RamiresKDB Mata/Lampard ?/Piazon Torres Drogba
RamiCFC9 258
Well Newcastle play just like that 2 strikers Ba(Drogba) and Cisse(Torres) and it works well for them.
Waterfall 893
Anything's better than front three of Malouda, Torres and Sturridge
Ashblues 30
I am not a supporter of starting Drogba and Torres together. But I can't see any other better option now.
Blue Armour 4,466
Maybe worth a try but it means rearranging the usual formationTrue, but I guess the usual formation might be of no use without the right players.

Drogzola 283
After last night I would say no...Its hard to judge from last nights situation as they had parked the bus by then and also we were chasing the game. I felt we looked better with Mata, Drogba and Torres in attack in last nights game than with Sturridge, Malouda and Torres.
Henri 115
Well, we could recruit Drogba as a defender, it might work

BleedsBlue 1,549
I really liked Torre's cross right after half time.Truly was something spectacular and perhaps maybe these two can play together. Both offer service to their team mates and are in form strikers so there is a possibility of success. Santiago. 1,500
Tracking back is the key and i don't think Torres will offer that if we start himCL FINAL SQUAD-------------Drogba-----------Kalou----Lampard----Mata----Essien---------Mikel------A.Cole-----------------Bosingwa---------Luiz-------Cahill------------------------Cech---------------FA CUP FINAL SQUAD-------------Drogba-------------Kalou-------Mata------Ramires-----Lampard---Mikel------------A.Cole--------------------Ivanovic--------J.Terry---Bosingwa------
