Ian St. John on André Villas-Boas—"You don't want people coming in like him, complicating everything and trying to make the game a puzzle!"

Ouch!

I suppose St. John wants English football to return to the 80s. 4-4-2. Big man up front. Long kick from the goalkeeper.

Basicially what Daglish wanted but couldn´t make the players play. So he diverted to a game plan which involves training ground passing routines.

Didn´t work either way.

Would be weird to see AVB in a liverpool tracksuit. I can´t see it happening though.

Funny thing is i bet AvB will do a good job there but i read somewhere that ROma wanted him he would be better off going there

Apparently, Vicenzo Montella - former Roma player & caretaker manager - is their main target at the moment.

our fans are a lot more realistic than Chelsea fans, and our expectations are much lower.

Also from rawk (regarding AVB). What the fuck are they on? :fainthv9:

If AVB goes there he will have to spend, and FSG have no money, if they do there in SERIOUS debt. They only made 50 million on Torres and 13 on Meireles, besides that they have just lost money lost money and they cannot generate revenue or anything, and look at there league places, they aren't making enough money. Truth is winning a trophy in England doesn't get you that much money either, especially the Carling Cup what has lower prestige than the F.A Cup.

I would actually be terrified if Villas-Boas went to Liverpool. Should he be successful with them, we'd have a massive problem. Not to mention, they'd never let us live it down.
