This might just show that besides being a good tactician you need a motivator.

AVB was woefull...the way he treated players was poor.

Reports are out that Chelsea are after Van Gaal....same situation. Might be a good tactician but not a good man manager.

RDM is just the opposite, he has been motivating the players since he got the job. But as far good tactician is too early to tell. We will have to wait for a whole season to judge that.

spot on ! :)

Very encouraging win. There was some real positives to take from the game, Cahill looked very good at the back (and opened his goal account for Chelsea) Bertrand was solid at left back, Mata continues to impress playing behind the striker but obviously the most encouraging aspect of the game was Fernando Torres, he was superb. Followed up his very good cameo against Napoli with a match winning display here, he finally added the element that has been missing to his overall performance, goals. The first was scruffy but who cares, they all count and the second was a classy header, the fact that he also managed two excellent assists was apt considering just how good his general play has been lately. A very promising performance, will still likely play second fiddle to Drogba for the rest of the season but this might be the kickstart his Chelsea career needed, hopefully he can be a dangerous back up to Drogba for the rest of the season and then next season he might even kick on and become the first choice striker at the club.

Also the prospect of a Spurs vs Chelsea semi final sounds very exciting, Id love for us to beat them at Wembley.

For the City game.

EDIT:

1) Sturridge in around the 70th if needed.

2) Meireles could/should be subbed in aswell, he did a good game today even if I hate the guy,.

would play the Napoli team against City ... but right now I think RDM's decision for starting 11 lineup has been good and would believe in the starting 11 he puts forth.

Lets just pray that Muamba recovers soon and that Bolton beat Spurs.

run the same side we did against napoli... but maybe flip flop? torres gets the start then DD comes on... cause if you do remember, the goals came flying in when they were both on the pitch... only exception was that DD scored in the first half alone...

i dont want to change our formation for torres and DD (as much as i think torres should start, DUE to the fact that he is in fantastic form as of late) BUT it is kinda what got us through past napoli if you want to break it down...

Sadly I couldn't watch the game, just watched the highlights and my god, we looked like a team! A team that deserves to win a trophy this year. So impressed! (I realise that its only Leicester) but I bet it's a good feeling around Stamford Bridge at the moment!

Come at us City! Wtf you got? :wank2:blue%20scalf.gif

People need to stop calling Sturridge selfish. When we were 2-0 up sturridge wanted to score so he could also show his undershirt in support for muamba from his time at Bolton last year.

LOL U. Showing a shirt that says "pray 4 muamba" isn't the only way you can show support. But he had so many chances to pass to Torres, who desperately needed goals. And now we all think Sturridge has no idea how to freakin pass to others. Let's just hope he finally plays unselfishly. Perhaps RDM can "gift" him a video showing all of Torres' assists? :3

that is the most creative excuse I have heard on here for weeks ... You should be a spin doctor in politics

Sturridge is just naturally selfish, don't buy the excuse he was trying to show off his Muamba shirt.

Look at the game against Napoli, one time he cut in and drilled the ball across, and Drogba almost scored.

How many times does he do that? all the time he tries to shoot from angles he won't score from instead of just playing a simple pass.

He's still young though, so let's hope he learns to pass - at least sometimes
