New Chelsea Manager

Ha ha! Rafa's too good for you lot. The cheek of some of you thinking you're too good for him.

But hey, Sky say he rotates too much and spent a fortune. Let's not let facts get in the way of what trophies he's won and his achievements, let's listen to Paul Merson salivating all over the desk before his next court appearance.

Mongs.

I dont think were mentioning Marcelo Biesa enough. He was (weakly however) linked recently with the possibiltiy of taking over the cfc job. He from what im told is a top draw manager and if we decided to raid atletico biablo (if we get him) we have a good shot and munain and martinez.

Of course you been well informed by Justin! blue%20scalf.gif

What is the difference between Moyes and AVB? Moyes has more experience in the Premiership, but he is still a wild card at this level. No one knows how he would deal with superstars and prima donnas.

There is no way that the club will go for Moyes. They will appoint a someone who has experience at the top level

You mention about Moyes that he won't take shit from anybody. AVB wasn't just some quiet character who let himself be bullied by the old guard. He tried to fight them. He lost and that cost him his job.

Interesting point, but your main point being allured to Superstars, which i take it you mean Cole, Lampard and co?

Simple point is sell them this summer.

Almost every other player have been very cooperative. These two have been very negative influence to the whole club.

Not really, francozola just smashed his Moyes argument into pieces.

Well if those Roman 'riot act' 'massive changes' story is true, he [Moyes] may not have to deal with such antics. While francozola is right that the club probably wouldn't consider him, he's still a good choice.

The problem with new manager is that we need a big-time and proven manager in top level so that the board and the fans will trust him when he sell our older palyers (Lampard,Drogba,Terry?,cole, etc) similar to when mourinho sold guti and raul in Real. I am not sure there is a manager with that kind of pedigree out there right now (maybe guardiola, but i don't think he will leave barca)

Moyes is a better bet than anyone else on that poll, excluding Jose.

Also does anyone know what's the deal with Terry and Jose? i remember when we played inter a couple of years ago Terry just ignored Jose.

In Makelele's biography, Makelele said John terry couldn't work with Jose any more and handed in a transfer request... Kenyon then got rid of Jose.

He would be perfect, he will kick out the old guards.

I call bluff. He's on the verge of something brilliant with the German NT, a team that's young & full of immense potential. No way do I see him walking away from that just yet.

No point getting Guardiola at this stage. AVB tried to play passing football and the players didn't want to/ couldn't play that way. The team bar Romeu and Mata are not technically good enough to play tici taca football and it is not something that you can teach overnight. Guardiola inherited a squad which had tremendous technical players, most of whom had come through the La Masia academy meaning that they had been playing passing football together for years. We would have to wait about 10 years from now to see true results from our academy if we want passing football.

Yeah JT was supposedly the main reason Jose got the sack. Jose wanted to drop him which angered JT and he complained to Roman. Jose and Roman weren't on the best of terms anyway so Roman got rid of him. This is what I've read but obviously no one knows exactly what happened.

That's why I think it's naive of some to turn on lampard and at the same time claim that JT is the 'true Chelsea legend'. Im repeating what I said in the other thread, but let's not forget that JT wasn't dropped by AVB the way lampard was, so we can't compare the two situations. Furthermore because of the racism allegations, JT has stayed in the background.

If roman intended on getting rid of these players in the summer, then wouldn't he simply let AVB continue? What's the point in sacking AVB? The only way it makes sense, is if they have changed their minds and decided to appoint an established manager.

Because Moyes = AVB in basic terms. So sacking one and then appointing the other makes no sense if the players are out of the equation. Hope you get what I mean?

You are desillusional if you think Moyes is the answer.

If by "the answer" you mean winning the EPL and taking us to CL glory then no I don't think any manager in the world currently has the answer. But I do think David Moyes is a great manager and if given the money can bring in great players and definitely do better than Rafa.
