the best player in germany sends his regards. A really nice showpiece of Gemran football this game. methodical, yet stringent, tactically excellent, fast in transition, variable. Not as robust and fast paced as English football and not as technical and intricate as Spanish football, but still entertaining.

effectiveness beats posession and wasted chances as usual.

Meh, excellent player but he would have been restricted here anyway. Probably for the best we sold him since he needs freedom to fully excel.

Love watching players like him & Ramsey. Such a pleasant change from the Zidane wannabes running rampant these days.

Raphael Honigstein wrote an article on the German Cup final yesterday and he mentioned this about De Bruyne...

Wolfsburg benefit from financial support from parent company Volkswagen. That setup is also a weakness, though: Unlike other, more traditional clubs with bigger support, they can't rely on a strong emotional pull when it comes to keeping their best players. Superstar Kevin De Bruyne, who turned in another superb performance in Berlin, is set to stay at least one more year, courtesy of a new, improved contract that will be signed in days to come.

Too many footballers want the ball played to their feet all the damn time these days.

I liked your post because of this statement. It's so annoying seeing a lot of footballers strolling around when their teammates have the ball instead of making runs to create space for creating chances.

De Bruyne is really mad at Mourinho. Again an interview why he never wants to play under Mourinho again.

He has a point, played world class and then Mou placed him in the stadium seats without giving him a reason. And his work ethic has only been questioned by Mourinho, all his other coaches were pleased with his work ethic. And if Mou really never talked to him like he says, I can see why he doesn't want to play for him ever again. He will be very motivated the first time he plays against a Mourinho team. Which will probably be Chelsea <_<

I would love for Chelsea to play Wolfsburg. KDB will get lost in Matic's pocket.
