"Disgrace to drop him like that" and "recieved the worse treatment from Jose"? What about dropping your best player who has carried your team for 2 years and telling him he doesn't do enough? Calling him selfish also?

Dude, one of the biggest myths in this forum is that Mata carried the team for 2 years. In his first season Mata was good, but he did not deserve the 'Player of The Season Award". Ramires was so more consistent in 11/12 season, playing superb game after game. Even during AVB dark days, Ramires was the only player who kept playing really well. Mata received the Award because he was the new face in town, and at that moment he was the only flair player in a squad full of old guys. The fans love new players, specially if they are attacking ones. I remember the FA Cup Final against Liverpool, when Mata barely touched the ball (he had the same performance in UCL final) and people in this forum voted him as MOTM.

The two big names of that season were Ramires + Drogba. I never remember of that season as the one that Mata carried the team. Last season the was the man. Easily our best player, but thats not fair to say he carried the team. Actually he was really good last season because of Hazard and Oscar influence. Juan Mata contribution in past two season sometimes is VASTLY overrated in this forum.

Come on dude. Football is about feelings, and its clear that this kid won't make it at Chelsea. He is the belgian Kakuta. In a squad that Mata (the best player in the past season) is fighting for his place, and with Schurlle and Willian around, the only possibility for him is playing as a full back, but we know thats not going to happen.

We all know Mourinho, so KDB wont have the time you think he needs to prove himself. You said there is still a full season to be played, that might be true, but KDB will play in Capital Cup and FA Cup games. Facing fierce competition in PL, Mourinho will play the best he has at his disposal, and that means that KDB is only the 6th choice to play in the mid, where we have 3 slots available.

He played in the first games of the season, them Mourinho dropped him. Since then, when he played he was as awful as hell.

Stop it Henrique, I know for a fact if he was Brazilian you would give him a chance.

He is far from Kakuta, De Bruyne has proven his quality at the likes of Werder Bremin.

We have so many players that are proven "at the likes of Werder Bremen" but are not good enough for PL to clubs.

I would honestly like to see him get a chance in Lampard's spot

Bad idea. KDB is a true winger. Should be rotated in with Hazard, Schürrle and Willian. Left or right doesn't really matter.

Mata / Lampard / Ramires / Essien to be rotated in the center.

When the team is not winning everyone should be dropped right? Every time the team concede points someone in this topic will say KDB is the answer.

I agree with you Henrique! Doesn't happen often.

I'm a big KDB fan as you may have noticed, but losing one game is indeed no reason to drop players, need to give 'em confidence.

Funny though how nobody said the same thing when KDB was dropped himself after one off day :)

this is where you are wrong though, Werder Bremen may not be equal to Chelsea, but Bündesliga in general is definitely as good, if not better than BPL.

just look at how Dortmund and Bayern Münich outclassed Arsenal (BPL leaders) and Man City (BPL vice champions) in CL.

if someone's good enough for Bündesliga, he's good enough for BPL.

if someone can stand out in the Bündesliga, like KDB last year, he can do the same in BPL.

just needs trust and confidence

I'm not going to disagree with you because I'm certain you know more about him than me, but with his workrate and the way he can spray those passes ( :wank2: ), I'd like to see him have a go there... Maybe work a bit on his defense before that...

Mata in the pivot?? :carlo: no I don't think so. That would be tragic. Imo De Bruyne has a better chance of being used and used effectively in the pivot than Mata especially in CL matches as Essien isn't on the team sheet. It could be something that Jose could try to give KDB a better chance at selection.

I disagree mate. He plays centrally really well. Passing. Dictating tempo when having the game to be super pacey. Loved when he did it at Genk, Bremen and the Nt. On the wing - in Mou's system - and with a lack of targets to cross those balls to (we dont have a Benteke kind of finisher). Naah.

The pivot (8-not the 6) could be really up his alley.

Anyway ... First game time and perform in the blue shirt. Thats imperative.

Agreed.

In all honesty, if Lampard can be a DM I see no reason why KDB can't. He's quicker and less ponderous on the ball. Can also drive forward ala Ramires. He even has a much better passing range.
