Let's switch it around.....

If we were to loan Sturridge to Liverpool and he was producing at his current rate, would his original price that he was sold this past winter be considered negative had someone come in and bought him after his loan spell?

That's not at all comparable to De Bruyne's situation because Sturridge had only six months left in his contract and he simply had to be sold in January or let him go for free because he never looked like signing a new contract.

Also, Sturridge was at least somewhat given a chance to get in the team, he had some good and definitely some bad performances and his attitude wasn't the best so one could say he failed that chance. All things considered it was a decent enough decision to sell him, even if he is now playing well at Liverpool.

De Bruyne is already better than Sturridge will ever be. Sturridge has the potential to be a good striker in the PL, just like players like Defoe and Bent have been, but I honestly can't see him becoming one of the best in the world. If De Bruyne now comes back for a year or two and isn't able to fully take his place in the team and wants to leave after a couple of seasons to go back to the Bundesliga or something, I'm sure many here wouldn't have a problem with that. However, selling him without giving him even one season to show what he's capable of is beyond moronic. Selling Sturridge may come back and bite the club in the ass if he is able to exceed expectations but selling De Bruyne will with a 100% certainty be a decision the club will regret at some point.

We should give him the chance.....

However, Chelsea signed way too many good am... Some of them won't make it on the team sadly.

Have you seen this season, how "too" many good am where overwork?

We need more, and a bigger squad.

Simple as that.

Why do you keep referring 'we' when you're clearly not a Chelsea supporter but a fan of Real Madrid?

And I disagree. De Bruyne could easily come in and play a lot of games because there's no way Oscar, Hazard and Mata are up for another season with this much games and additional players are definitely needed next season. Moses is not good enough to be a starter, the likes of Marin and Beanyoun are already as good as gone so do you really think there isn't enough room for another one? If De Bruyne is sold, Chelsea will buy someone new for £30m to take this place in the team and that's just silly way of doing business. Then again, like I already said yesterday, that's nothing new to you as a Real Madrid fan. Sneijder out for 15m and Kaká in for 65m, if deals like that are okay to you then we have nothing else to discuss here.

KDB could come easily, however, we have 3 ams that are reaching their peaks and one in their peak.

What if KDB doesn't want to play for Chelsea cause he realizes that he won't be centered? Anyways, I'm sure when the new manager is selected, we will get better knowledge than.

No, it has more to do with the fact you talk a lot about Real Madrid in Mourinho's thread and use every chance to bash Jose and his tactics. Also, no actual Chelsea supporter would rate most of Manchester City's squad ahead of ours. Sure, they have their star players who would walk in our starting lineup with ease but Clichy ahead of Cole and so on, are you kidding me?

At Dortmund he would probably play pretty much the same way he would at Chelsea so why would he go there either if that was the case? Have you watched them play? Not even Götze played centrally, he swapped positions during matches with Reus and Blaszczykowski much like he would do with the likes of Mata and Hazard. If Chelsea rated KdB at all, he would be recalled after such a fine season out on loan and given the chance in the first team. If he then failed that chance, it would be the right decision to at least consider sell him but not now when he would fetch only €15m and not the €40m he would potentially be valued at if he succeeded.

By the time new manager comes in, KDB might be gone.

As I read above, the bigger squad the better for the team. After all Chelsea should have 25 players who can play at any time.

What´s the sense having 2 goalies sitting on the bench, Ferriera, Yossi...what are these players for ?

I said Zabs/Clichy not Clichy vs Cole. If I did say Clichy Cole, well that's my mistake than...

Also, what I meant was what if KDB was to be the "head dog" of a team. Not playing as a CAM, but more or less, having the tactics benefit him offensively.

And what makes you think Chelsea don't have the tactics to benefit a player like De Bruyne? Mind you Chelsea is probably the most attacking midfielder -centered team in the world and here he would probably thrive better than anywhere else.

Here's something different than what everyone wants to hear:

KDB will NOT be sold. I don't see any reason why we would other than if someone comes with a 35M transfer fee which isn't going to happen. We don't have a manager yet and if it's Mou, KDB is exactly the kind of player Mou would like to work with. I guarantee you if Mou is our manager than KDB comes back next season. KDB is probably one of the best counter-attacking players in the world.

KDB is impatient and he probably feels that he's not needed at Chelsea but once Jose gives him a call says I want you, KDB will come running back. Worst case is that he will go on loan if Mou feel's he's not needed or ready yet. But I don't see why we'd sell him. If we want Dortmund players then we can just pay for them, we don't need to send anyone the other way to negotiate a smaller transfer fee, we can afford anyone on that team.
