Lampard has been poor for most part of the season. Mourinho is doing a HUGE mistake in this subject. Game after game its clear he is the weak point of the team. Last season Lampard was playing few games, most of the games as a sub. When he played, he still had the aggressive instincts, thats why me managed to score a lot of goals and was our PL top scorer.

Now he is playing game after game. He is playing more games than Hazard or Oscar, and the man is 35 years old. Mourinho's love for him is getting embarrassing. He shouldn't be playing so many games.

NO. Mourinho is playing him so much because the other option is Mikel.

I thought he was excellent in the first half. He never shy away from tackles and was aggressive as i want my CM to be. (that's one of the reasons yaya was shut out)

But he had a yellow card, so in the second half he couldnt risk tackling when we were getting dominated for a while so he was sacrificed.

People who do not understand football and there are many think if Lampard is not scoring goals he is not playing well,he will not be scoring as many goals from his new position particularly against the likes of City ,what he will do is match up to people like Toure his passing and tackling was brilliant yesterday and he got a yellow card as did Rammy this is because they did not let City waltz past them as we usually do,Rammy and Frank were top class yesterday .

Ramires has been excellent since he was paired with Frank after the Fulham game where he was awful and the first half at Spurs ,since they were paired we have won every game and the Lampard /Ramires engine has been key to this success. I expect the club to announce that JT and Lampard have signed to stay at the club for at least another season very soon,now we have Jose in charge of team selection and rightly so.
