Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted June 2, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 2, 2014 I'm honestly and literally crying now.I'm one of those people who thought he was leaving or retiring and even think that would be appropriate from a technical point of view... but now there's a knot in my throat and it won't go away and I can't stop crying... I'm nearly sobbing actually and I can't even blame hormones on this one.I'll miss him so much... I don't know if I can recognize Chelsea without him. I mean, I'll always be a Blue, the club is bigger than any player, but for so long Chelsea and Frank Lampard were synonyms, the same thing, something you couldn't separate, intrinsically connected.Chelsea will continue to be Chelsea, but a small spark just died now in the club. Frank Lampard is beyond a legend. That word fits Didier well, but it seems too short to describe what Frank represents to this club.I expected to be sad, but damnit, I'm completely heartbroken actually. crying like a baby bababoom, James, Mufassir08 and 4 others

ephreak 42
It does not matter if Chelsea buy all the best players in the world, no one will be even close to the man Lampard is. He was so much more than just a Chelsea player. You will be missed, thank you isn´t enough.I´m lucky that I had the privilege to see him play for a long time in blue shirt. Popular Post! MrExcalibur100 7,124 Posted June 3, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 3, 2014 Drogba had the moments, Zola had the magic, but Lampard stands alone as our best ever player. The man was a machine and a goal-scoring monster. The 164 consecutive games PL played from midfield(!) was testament to his consistency and reliability. The fact that that record was held by mostly goalkeepers tells you something. His goal-scoring ability could rival that of almost any WC striker in his prime. His passing ability and contribution in defense is also pretty underrated. He's the best box-to-box midfielder I've ever seen in my two decades watching football. It will be a long time till we see another central midfielder who scores 250+ goals in his career. I heard there's a testimonial against Bolton, the team he scored two goals against to give us our first title in 50 years. A fitting end. If God could let me pick one football player from any point in history to represent Chelsea, I will pick Sir Frank Lampard 10 times out of 10. Ze Mario 638
one year extension contract for 30 and above old players is undeniably shit. When big clubs such as Milan Madrid Barcelona took care of their old players, especially their will-become legend, we act like a literally plastic club (finger to the boards tho, not players, not fans). There's something wrong with this club, to the point i call it sickness.Even without proper goodbye? Sick! Redondo
robsblubot 3,595
Any information on what the fuck happened?! Have we made an offer at all and he just took the better one? I'm not going to put this on the club until I know more. He certainly did not deserve anywhere near the deal he's had in the past (key player and all), but no offer would've been very harsh. gary gordon 1,777
The club, letting Frank go like this, without a decent goodbye Is criminal. I will continue to support the club till the day I die, but the board can all go and Fuck themselves. To keep a prick like Torres in the team but get rid of Frank and Ash really speaks volumes. I'm devastated. Good bye Super Frankie.
