BleedsBlue 1,549
The plan is to tell Jose all about their tactics and ideas! Sneaky sneaky Jose! But jokes aside, this really is a messed up deal. iseah100
Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted August 1, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted August 1, 2014 So now we're questioning the loyalty of a player who stepped up for this club so soon after his mother passed away? The guy who was captain that night in Munich? The guy who scored the goals to win us our first title in 50 years?next there will be pictures of Chelsea #8 shirts being burned. I'll keep away from twitter because only the thought of that makes me cringe. It sucks, but well, that's life and he's a professional. I can't demand loyalty from him when we as a club couldn't offer the same. We couldn't (didn't want) offer him a new contract. Where he goes from there on is on his best interest. I saw the loan to City coming the moment he signed for NYC people even mentioned it here. I thought it was a possibility, not a given, I'll hate seeing him in the fade blue of them, but I agree with you that they aren't even our traditional rivals. I'm just happy he didn't go to QPR on loan. That would be disgusting, but still wouldn't have erased who he is for us and for me. Stats 7,142
NYCFC is going to be the feeder club for Man City, their Man City B team pretty much.GIves City the opportunity to play their young guys and get them on loan directly to a team that will benefit their mother club. As Chelsea does with vitesse, City will do with NYCFC. However, the huge difference is that NYCFC will do everything possible to grow their players so they can eventually rejoin man city. So, pretty much NYCFC will help Man City grow in the future and give their young players an opportunity to play .I really dont understand how you guys cant see the link. But if he went there without going to Man City no one will have a bad word to say about him. He went off to a different league who are a sister club for City but inferior. But if he joins Man City, that is a different matter itself now. Regardless of what he does he still remains a Chelsea legend for me, even I will be a bit irritated to see him go Man City, that won't change my viewpoint. Appreciate everything he has done for us. zolayes
Popular Post! The only place to be 11,313 Posted August 1, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted August 1, 2014 He won't be playing for them though, he'll never officially be a player..Like Beckham with Arsenal. But Frank clearly still wants to play.Sorry, but the guy gave us everything for more than 12 years and people want him just to fuck off and train for 6 months or play in Australia?Have some respect for the ultimate competitor wanting to compete at the highest level for as long as he can. Term-X 7,891
Small things can influence a title race (goal difference, vital points away etc), it just so might be that Frank Lampard contributes to us losing out on the title. Even if it's just taking the pressure of first teamers by playing in the Capital One cup. Rio won't be doing that, unless QPR battle it out with United for 4th.Lampard could go to Australia, he doesn't live with his kids, they live with their mum; it would be a nice holiday for him.. and they could visit. Daniel1980 1,425
I'm not angry with him. I'm disappointed. I don't understand why he's doing it. He won everything with us, he earned millions with us, he's become our legend. It's not like he needs money. It's not like he failed to win trophies with us and needs more. It's not like we treated him badly--he's 36 years old, for fuck's sake, it was time to let go and move forward. By this pointless move, he's tainting his legacy in the fans' eyes. And for what? For nothing. seanptmiller
Popular Post! Liquidator 5,176 Posted August 1, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted August 1, 2014 Wow. Just wow. Not that Lampard is going to Man City, I'm more amazed by some members' ridiculous comments indirectly claiming it will degrade his legendary status here. Being a Man-City bench warmer, who will collect a few minutes here and there is not playing at the highest level.JT said he'd never play for another english club after Chelsea and I believe him. He wants a clean legacy, he knows how the fans would react.

petre.ispirescu 4,928
And I was thinking August will be a fun ride......... I'll never forget the day when my mother from her small salary bought me Frank's shirt in 2004. Man I was so proud, I think I wore it for two weeks in a row like a maniac - school, training, everywhere I was going I had the Fly Emirates shirt on me. Liquidator 5,176
See, this is why Rio got it spot on, he went to relegation fodder, keeping his distance from United.Do you really think a top 4 club would be interested in signing Rio Ferdinand? He was consistently made to look an idiot by the likes of Southampton, West Brom, Newcastle etc. last season The only place to be, zolayes and pHaRaOn

Superblue 6,372
I believe there is only one reason why lamps would decide to do this and that's because he either has decided he wants to continue playing for England or Hodgson has asked him to stay on now Gerrard has bolted.
