Magic Lamps 11,692
And it's not that he was a mere squad player last season. He had 40 appearances, scored 8 goals, 7 assists. Not too bad stats for a a 35 year old playing in DM. At least better than paulinho. I am sure he will have a role to play, if he stays. Blue Armour 4,439
Nyfc is man city.Correction..Nyfc share the same owners..its not like he's pulling on their sky blue jersey, although if it makes you happy there are rumors about him playing for City for a few months before heading to the US

Most of his appearances were in the first leg of the season, but he was dropped in the 2nd leg, when Mourinho realized he was far from a good player in the pivot. He ended the season behind Luiz in the picking order to play in the mid. Imo in he ended the season as a mere squad player.

Fulham Broadway 17,312
more in the Guardian http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/01/frank-lampard-sheikh-mansour-new-york-city I'd give him half a season give him a proper send off. He's going to the World Cup as England vice-captain after all, he's not quite on the scrap heap yet. When you see who's interested in him and Cole, it makes the decision to part company look even more questionable.

CHOULO19 24,332
I must admit I'm disappointed, I expected by now at least one media outlet to say that the real reason Frank has rejected a contract renewal is because of the imminent arrival of Fabregas... quickpassnmove 924
get it over with. move on. no more. don't need him next season; CFC need to move on.only reason he gets in England this year is his outlook/experience, leadership, and for someone who can knock a goal in with 10-15 minutes left as a sub. But Paul Scholes is correct on the England squad: none of them can play the Gerrard role if Steven gets hurt, so why was it not Carrick instead of Lampard in there? Guess it would be Henderson. Last season when utd were doing well he was the master mind behind it all and was nominated for PFA player of the year, this season when the team is struggling and Moyes tactics left him isolated in midfield, he doesn't even get picked in the squad. The life of a defensive midfielder, I guess... Bir_CFC
RoyalBlues 4,050
With Villa signing, New York City looks serious to throw the money as well as strengthen their team. I would not be surprised if Lampard or Cole join them.
Fulham Broadway 17,312
Dont forget the agents role in this. Its probably the agent trying to get the best (and you cant blame him) and most money out of the club for his client.JT took the offer, Cole did not, Lampard may or may not - But the club's approach is entirely sensible to me.What makes less sense is why they didn't sort this all out in January and therefore have a conclusion before the end of the season where we all knew where we stood. ZanSnake 1,211
Half a season, if offered, imo give a fair result for both Frank and the club - also allows him to give a final 'say' in the success of the club for next season, despite not being a first team member, or being here all season - as well as giving a big ass party!!! To be fair he was long an unsung hero before that, many had recognised that Carrick had been key to United because he stepped up with their lack of CMs. Capello continously snubbing him never made sense to me.. But yes, this season he's been poor individually and was justifiably dropped.
