Matterz 67 Posted May 26, 2014 Share Posted May 26, 2014 Don't forget Ivanovic and Kalas can play as a CB so there would be no point in signing a CB, especially if we get in a good left back - which means Azpi will play in his natural position more often.For fullbacks: Azpi, New LB, Ivanovic, KalasFor CBs: Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic, Zouma, Kalas.Signing a new CB would be unnecessary. That would be a very nice mix of versatile players and youth and experience.we had 6 defenders this seasonGC, JT, iva, azpi, DL and ACfor the next season, u can expect more or less the sameCBs - JT, GC, iva, zoumaRBs - azpi, ivaLBs - newLB (shaw/moreno/RR), azpiwith a couple of youth/squad players providing cover. probably pva and ake/kalas/christensen. They combined for 6 starts in all competitions. We don't need 8 defenders. We need to replace Cole and Luiz. If Zouma is likely to be in the side (which I think he is), we really only need a LB. Why bother scouting for solutions or giving young players a chance when you can just go for the obvious name and throw money at him?
