Anybody who has ever said a bad thing about Didi is firstly, a fucking moron and secondly, not a true Chelsea fan IMO. He wears his heart on his sleeve and i would rather have one Didier Drogba then ten of any other striker in our side! Didier Drogba Lalalala!

Woohoo the forum's back up!

Excellent excellent performance. Pretty much everyone was superb.

Drogs!! what a beast! He's obviously playing for a contract, but it's nice to see he still has it in him! Whether he is willing to play like this all season....... I doubt it. I honestly think that if we offer him a new deal and he signs it, he'll go back to his "play when he feels like it" attitude.

Romeu was SUPERB. What a game. The third goal was all him. Good pass by Mata but terrific header by Romeu to set it up. Everyone around him was STATIC and yet he managed to place that header into space for Mata to run on to. Class player.

look whose back??? its DIDIER DROGBA... just fucking awesome from the legend... slapping the chelsea's and his own critics in the face. "he is not good enough", "he has mentally checked out" were some of the things bein said bout him and look at the man's reply. i know its not been his best season but the way people wanted him out was absolutely uncreditable. drogba is a legend and last night he proved why so. he can rally players around him, lift up the team and lead by example. this is why he is one of the best in the world and this is why no doubt what so ever that he should stay.

come on chelsea...

What happened after he signed a 2 yr deal in 2009?

Drogba will try to do his best if he feels wanted...However, as age catches up with him, and his energy levels fall, he will need more support. Right now that support is Sturridge and more importantly Mata..The little man and the big man seem to combine very well...

I knew back in Jan this year, that what the team really needed was a good support player for Drogba/Anelka rather than a new CF...I hope Torres continues to try hard with the limited chances he's going to get though,..

I was happy with the game, no complaints. I loved watching Drogba play. I missed seeing such a dominant performance from him, it was absolutely incredible.

One thing I do want to bring up is, would anyone feel comfortable letting Man City have that much possession against us coming up in the next game? City have players who are slightly better on ball than Valencia, and they have much better strikers of the ball who can hit goals from outside.

Actually, that was another pleasing thing about the game. All their 'big chances' to score came from outside the box essentially, and when it comes down to that it has to be struck perfectly, not just magnificently, but perfectly to beat a keeper like Cech.

What an absolute TEAM effort. The atmosphere was electric at the Bridge. AVB has proven that he is adaptable, and not full of hubris. There is one performance, outside of Drogba's, on which I would like to comment, it is that of David Luiz. He should absolute class and discipline on the pitch. Now, if he can find a way to utilize those skills in conjunction with his skills going forward, he can be one of the best. Oh yeah, Drogs is an absolute beast whose professionalism has been called into question, and he showed up big time last night.

I know what you mean, and I definitely think Drogba should be playing instead of Torres. I've been saying that since his Wolves performance and was even more convinced after Newcastle.

What I meant was, he is going to be 34. It's obvious he doesn't have the legs to play like this every match. So I feel like he'll want to conserve his energy and only "play when it matters" which he has done in the past. An uninterested Drogba is not a good thing to have.

Also, do we really want to give him a 2 year deal? He's 33!!! I don't mind if we give him a two year deal if the 2nd year is on a pay-as-you-play deal or something like that.

I think the new deal won't be discussed anytime soon to be honest, let alone the terms and conditions...The manager and (Drogba himself) will have to wait and see if he can perform consistently from here on out...

I agree he will change his playing style to expend minimum energy, like in the Newcastle and Wolves games, but that doesn't make him less motivated or less committed to the cause IMO...

Finally can say Well played Chelsea. Great performances by the entire team. Thx AVB for dropping the high defense line and moving back to the traditional one, we muscled them out. Drogba was at his best, great game from him. But have to keep mention Mata here, he has been one of our better investments in the recent years. I wish and hope that we carry on this momentum. A job well done!

Was just thinking we took right under the nose of Arsenal, they must have been cursing themselves :)

Another two assists for Mata. He must be on, like, 15 assists already or something.

okay, agreed (for now). His effort and work-ethic in the last few weeks has been impressive. Even before half-time yesterday you could see that he was knackered and was struggling. But he still tried in the 2nd half. He doesn't have the energy to run around chasing defenders like mad or track back any more, but he still does a decent job of pressing when the ball is near him. Hope he can continue this good run of form going into the Christmas period. He'll be going for the ACN, won't he?

Great to see the site back up. But not as good as seeing that team performance yesterday. Drogba was a beast. Mata and Sturridge were great on the wings (though the latter needs to learn to f*cking pass the ball!). Luiz had his best performance in a blue shirt imo, and big Pete was class.
