bluephoenix 1,131
No I don't love him. I have always liked him as a footballer, and I still do, although not as much as before. But why would anyone literally love him when he is yet to contribute to the team?because the lad is trying hard. As long as the players try really hard its fine whether we win or lose but when we dont show that intent ! thats when things fall apart.the qpr game i bet not a single Chelsea fan was gutted by the way we played because we showed some real quality and intent in that game but sadly that intent isn't there in every match we play
ulsterchelsea 3,221
You got a point mate, but the problem is that those opinions are usually escorted with insults to other chelsea players (ex:" why didn't torres start?, drogba is shit"). In general, the match thread is getting annoying during games that aren't going our way, and does leave the impression that some members are not heartily supporting the club. i know that is equally as annoying and a lot of the mstch thread comments are pretty grim at times. I'm all for saying I prefer this one to that one at the minute, just don't see the need for running players who play for our team down
Krypt 241
Never really bin a fan , most likely because i spent so much time hating him at the bin dippers , but he plays for us now so i support him and i am warming to him a few more goals may help

petr.breu 1,618
I wasn´t happy, when he joined us. I didn´t like him in L´pool, I hated his goals against us. But now he´s with us and is understandable, that i´ll support him. His situation in Chelsea is hard for him, is hard for club and is hard for fans. So I don´t love him, but I believe he´ll be great part of Chelsea´s history.
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
love torres hate the style of play he's making us turn to. now we have to let maouda go (which i have no problem with) and get a hazard/stevan jovetictype player. and another cm to replace lampard and faster dm. but other than that i love torres. (not to mention the change in tactics thats cost us a few games this year if not all of our losses!)
True_Blue 469
Liked him while he was in Atletico, hated him as a Liverpool player.Don't really love him as a Chelsea player since he is a good player but never really showed it while being with us.I give him until the end of the season,if he doesn't improve he can leave. YouNameIt 1,511
To start scoring, he must obviousley be given more playtime. Not jump in in the 75th minute and be expected to score when the team playes shitty. If the team can properly build around Torres (with a good formation and backing up from ie. Mata) he will do wonders!

Ollie 4,400
Neither love or hate really, i like him more than i dislike him for some reason, just wish he'd find his form back. I'm desperate to see him succeed for us, time is still on his side and we won't sell him and lose profit. I think he'll make his point in the CC against Liverpool. I'm looking forward to this game now after last weekend. If he had 10 consecutive 90 minute games, i reckon he'd bag 7-8 times ish. We have the best 2 strikers in the world (ok, 2 of the best but a few years ago, they were THE 2) and they are both playing like retards. Poor AVB. Naked Mole Rat 437
Love him when he plays well, hate him when he plays badly or dives. Same goes for everyone else on the team, though. (Currently loving Sturridge and hating Terry, Cech and Drogba) I don't think I've ever had any lasting love or hate for any of our players, not even for Kalou. Melanicus 5,208
Okay, I must write this here. When El Nino was at Liverpool, I loved him, but I couldn't show this, because we had Liverpool supporters in the class and I was both, angry and happy, when he scored against us. He's just a player that I like everything about him. He's so calm, speedy and he's great finisher. I've watched Liverpool games only because of him. And you can't believe what was going with me, when he signed for us. Shame I wasn't member of this forum then, so you would see. I screamed so much, I jumped on balcony with Chelsea flag, I wore Chelsea skirt in school and so on... But his start in Chelsea wasn't the best, but I believed as everyone. I don't know what's problem about this and I won't disscuss it. I'm training football, I'm forward, I wear number 9, I've long hair and everything is because of him - my idol - Fernando Torres. He will be my favourite player, no matter what.
Rambo 1,729
Torres was a beast for liverpool, sadly he can't recreate the form he was under for us..Drogba will still be one of the best (imo our best) strikers of all time for us. Whether Drogba haters like it or not, he has accomplished far more for our club. I honestly think the 50 m pricetag has hurt Fernando and the atmosphere and expectations of CFC is overwheliming him atm. However it would be foolish for ANY Chelsea fan to not want him to succeed for us...the question is, when and how are we able to get consistent performances from Nando again? His touch has gotten a lot worse since his injury and he does not look motivated at all when he steps on the pitch. Besides focusing our attention to Torres we should get him to feed off of Mata and Sturridge to relieve the pressure off FT9.

Maybe he's been under Didier's shadow for too long and needs to emerge as the worldclass player that he is.
teignman 441
I don't love or hate him. I do desperately want him to regain some semblance of his former glory and be a reliable finisher/goal scorer. Unfortunately, I believe that his price tag has put him under the microscope. There really wasn't anyway we could truly win after paying that much for him. If he performed/performs like his vintage self, then he might justify his the king's ransom we paid and thus alleviate some of the pressure. Anything less, and he'll be an albatross hanging round the neck of our club.

The place should be given to the man who deserves it the most and at the minute thats Danny

Of course he would have done more for the club. And despite what Drogba has done for us. Let us not forget that in his first two seasons for us at most he was an average player that scored about 10 league goals a season, and was most of the time clumsy and play acted a lot despite being the previous club transfer record holder (£24 million). So if Drogba can go from an over priced average player to one of the clubs most loved striker there is a little bit of hope for Torres. At least he hasn't slapped anyone and got sent off in a champions league final yet.
