ulsterchelsea 3,221
I love Fernando, and not in a 'your so sexy marry me' kinda way because I actually don't find him attractive. I'm just waiting for him to get back to his best. Tick tock, tick tock. in truth most are, you can see what its like at the bridge when he scores or comes close ! It's the most animated we get at times.
Blue Armour 4,439
Yeah this is just as stupid as the Torres-Drogba debate...Heck, BOTH these players are here to help the club and not to compete against each other (at least not directly). On current form I would pick Sturridge and Drogba to lead the front two since they seem to link up very well, and because they can find each other in the final third with ease. However, Torres has barely played in the last month, and has not been given a chance to play games on the trot (and I mean starting during games) so that he can pick up consistency.Rotating your main strikers every time is NOT GOING TO WORK. This was what Harry Redknapp used to do with Crouch and Defoe. You only need to look at how successful Drogba and Anelka were for Carlo and how Rooney and Berbatov (when he was playing regularly last season) were good for Sir Alex, and now Van Persie for Wenger to see the benefits.AVB should choose his best Strikers and best CB pair and stick with them for the rest of the season, till injuries/suspensions do them apart
MGuerreiro 252
Torres has been one of my favourite players since playing for Atletico Madrid (football manager might be a small reason). Every once in a while theres a player who is unique and makes you go "wow". Ronaldo, Messi, Xavi, Rooney, Torres. All of these players have that in common that they're unique abilities make them outstanding. Of course, Torres hasn't been showing it lately. But I don't believe that a world class player can just lose they're abilities despite poor form. His talent is still there and all we can do is pray he starts showing it as soon as possible. I am certan that he will, it's just a question if we have enough patience to endure the time until he does. But Torres will be back, hopefully in a blue shirt. HRiver 1,512
No I don't love him. I have always liked him as a footballer, and I still do, although not as much as before. But why would anyone literally love him when he is yet to contribute to the team?
CHOULO19 24,332
Ok I'm only writing this because it seems to be a running theme and let me say from the outset that I am 100% behind torres as long as he plays for chels. What he does for Spain I don't care and what he did for Liverpool doesn't interest me either, its the here and now that interests me. Torres is not playing well and in truth has not played well consistently since he arrived last January, anyone who is anyone can tell you that. Now I'm not on here to sway peoples minds about him (that's for him to do on the pitch) but what I am hoping is that in future when we go on to the match thread and someone expresses a feeling of discontent that torres didn't get on or maybe that they thought he doesn't deserve criticism that that person should be able to back one of our own players without being labled a torres fc fan or fanboy. It's getting boring now and I fail to understand why people who are supporters have such an easy time almost willing one of our players to fail. But as I said you can each make up your own minds about el Nino but surely we can hold fire on trying to segregate our own fans into pro or anti torres? Just a suggestionYou got a point mate, but the problem is that those opinions are usually escorted with insults to other chelsea players (ex:" why didn't torres start?, drogba is shit"). In general, the match thread is getting annoying during games that aren't going our way, and does leave the impression that some members are not heartily supporting the club. As long as the players try really hard its fine whether we win or lose but when we dont show that intent ! thats when things fall apart.the qpr game i bet not a single Chelsea fan was gutted by the way we played because we showed some real quality and intent in that game but sadly that intent isn't there in every match we play

I'm all for saying I prefer this one to that one at the minute, just don't see the need for running players who play for our team down

petr.breu 1,618
I wasn´t happy, when he joined us. I didn´t like him in L´pool, I hated his goals against us. But now he´s with us and is understandable, that i´ll support him. His situation in Chelsea is hard for him, is hard for club and is hard for fans. So I don´t love him, but I believe he´ll be great part of Chelsea´s history.
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
love torres hate the style of play he's making us turn to. now we have to let maouda go (which i have no problem with) and get a hazard/stevan jovetictype player. and another cm to replace lampard and faster dm. but other than that i love torres. (not to mention the change in tactics thats cost us a few games this year if not all of our losses!)
True_Blue 469
Liked him while he was in Atletico, hated him as a Liverpool player.Don't really love him as a Chelsea player since he is a good player but never really showed it while being with us.I give him until the end of the season,if he doesn't improve he can leave. YouNameIt 1,511
To start scoring, he must obviousley be given more playtime. Not jump in in the 75th minute and be expected to score when the team playes shitty. If the team can properly build around Torres (with a good formation and backing up from ie. Mata) he will do wonders!

Ollie 4,400
Neither love or hate really, i like him more than i dislike him for some reason, just wish he'd find his form back. I'm desperate to see him succeed for us, time is still on his side and we won't sell him and lose profit. I think he'll make his point in the CC against Liverpool. I'm looking forward to this game now after last weekend. If he had 10 consecutive 90 minute games, i reckon he'd bag 7-8 times ish. We have the best 2 strikers in the world (ok, 2 of the best but a few years ago, they were THE 2) and they are both playing like retards. Poor AVB.
