Igi26 346
Can't wait for the game. Hope Danny will start and score ofcourse. We are playing very good under AVB.
Ray. 217
Seems to be a tricky fixture for us, so am anticipating a draw.
chrismada9 1,948
In all seriousness, I don't they'll be that much of a "bogey team" this season.Of course, this is a team that lost 1-0 at home to QPR
Shak 22
If we are playing them in the Cup and the league consecutively..then i'm sure AvB will rotate the team. Hope to see more minutes for Romeu & McEachran in the cup fixture. We should be able to beat them. I'd say 2-1 but like ALL other fans on this forum, our defending from set-pieces has to be top-notch. teignman 441
I've started to develop a healthy dislike of the Toffees over the past couple years. What a bunch of swine. One needs to look no further for evidence of their scurrilous play than the foul-fest that was the match against them at the Bridge in the FA Cup last season (32 fouls committed by the blue Merseysiders). They've also been a real thorn in our side as far as results. I think the last time we got all 3 points against them was in the Spring of '08. In order to do so, it is imperative that we defend in the air much, much better. Shut Baines down, too. Don't allow him, or at least severely limit his ability, to put dangerous balls in the box. CHOULO19 24,332
Tough match, but we've been playing great football under AVB and teams who parked the bus against us couldn't get their result. I think we'll win, but it will be a very hard match.Rodwell is not available for this match, right? No he is. The red card was over ruled, and rightly so imo. Igi26 346
I hate Everton, always dangerous, but I'm sure we will beat them like we beat Bolton.
bluephoenix 1,131
If we continue to play the way we have been playing then I guess we will be able to win it comfortably but that Everton have always surprised me when I least expect them toSo I would say a nervy win perhaps ! CHOULO19 24,332
I think if we can keep a clean sheet (especially on set plays) we'll have a fairly comfortable win.
Santiago 15
I'm very confident it will be a tough match, but we will play with consistency and under pressure, have to keep the game in the field of attack with great ball possession. It's a tie game, but we'll come back with a win and no injuries.
termninja 5,290
I think it all depends on our efficiency that is still shaky. Everton is just a perfect opponent to miss chances against and then concede a goal from 1 shot...

Tomo 21,751
Taking factors into consideration this is the best chance we have to beat Everton. Our way of playing in the past suits them down to the ground while playing against the likes of Sturrigde, Mata, Luiz and Raul does not. Also AVB will surely have been in his office all this week watching numerousvideos off our games against Everton in the last 2 maybe 3 season's numerous times over working out where we have gone wrong against them and why Everton have found it so easy to play us.If we don't beat Everton next weekend we never will. chrismada9 1,948
I feel more confident here, in the last few league games we've started to take more and more chances, we have learnt the Man United lesson well.Yeah, I think despite the fact that we lost 3-1 in that match, the main positive was taking our chances... Torres would have learned the biggest lesson of them all, to not miss an open goal from 5 yards! We really need to sort out our set piece defending though because that's why we are leaking goals! Our defence haven't perfected it yet, and we need to be able to do that if we are going to chase both the Manchester clubs all the way this season! Laylabelle 9,535
Our set piece defending is shocking they just seem to run out the way of the ball! Everytime there is a set piece you start to worry. We havent beaten Everton in yonks so gotta start again somewhere hopfully this weekend
