Special Juan 28,141
What has actually gone on?
LDN Blue 7,903
Ah man, didn't watch the game but to hear what just happened truly does leave a sour taste in one's mouth. Ridiculous from Mou, to prove what point? He's already ousted Schweinsteiger but at least that wasn't so public, if he doesn't want Mata is it really so difficult to oust him to the reserves privately and allow him to go on in a dignified way. I don't know what the agenda is with Mou, there was that infuriating rumour he doesn't like Spaniards after his time at Real (which, imo, is still quite far fetched and ridiculous) but someone's clearly got into his ear about Juan. I hope Mata moves on to a CL club, away from this god forsaken country. He should go somewhere that'll allow him to showcase his talents again, Sevilla or someone like that. Beepu

Ryan Fong 2,776
What has actually gone on? Sub Mata on in second half, sub him off in last minute for Mkhitaryan to defend a fucking corner. That's what happened.
Eidur the Spider 4,515
The fact that he chose Oscar over Mata still stings. No surprises at this kind of behaviour. Pretty appalling. Unionjack and The Mak

Pretty appalling. Inb4 @Tomo replies  I don't think the decision to sell Mata was a bad one at all, at the stage we were reaching we needed a different kind of number 10 than Mata is/was. That doesn't excuse the unconscionable treatment he's suffering at the hands of Jose still, but it was understandable at the time to sell him. Now if we'd chosen KDB to be that AM instead of Oscar, no-one would have complained. So it's not so much Oscar over Mata or anything to do with those 2 players period, it's just rather peculiar that Jose is choosing to be so public in his treatment of Mata. Mou still plays park the bus. Is still a dick. Oh, and the whole media are in awe because of Grandpa Zlatan scoring and winning the Shield for ManUre. When Arsenal won it twice it was "Only a small preseason price". Now that ManUre won it everybody's acting like they won the UEFA SuperCup. MefiX19
Sideshow Luiz 2,310
Sub the sub in a glorified friendly.  Not great, but the history between the two makes it bad. I loved Mata when he was here and I still have a soft spot for him even though he was only with us for 2 seasons.  Genuinely seems like a nice guy.  Hope he goes back to Spain to a club where he can be happy and play his technical football without everyone complaining about what he doesn't do.  Maybe a return to Valencia or something.  Amblève. and Ryan Fong
Yeboii 1,844
Making enemies of Schweinsteiger - United fans won't really care. Making enemies of Mata - Expected. Making enemies of Martial might make a big difference though 9 hours ago, petre.ispirescu said: have you noticed Martial's reaction when substituted? Thats what Jose does wherever he has gone and United fans need the title more than anything this season.
Beepu 1,714
Mata is probably one of the nicest guys in football. If Jose has no plans for him I hope he moves to a good club and showcase his talents again.
