He moans and finger points but when a decent cross comes in, he miss kicks it... i cant even with this guy.. How he thinks he is all that just baffles me...

Hopefully PSG will want to spend on a big name after the departure of Mbappe..

We don't play the system that benefits him, nor do we get balls into the box quick enough. He gets fed up and comes short, tries to roll the defender everytime, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

Would prefer to see Kai, our movement at least it so good to watch, until we shit ourselves at the opposition box, at least.

Was at SB yesterday watching him as we were pinging it around on the outskirts of the box. There were definitely times when instead of doing that he was free, then quickly marked, but an early ball would have paid dividends. Yes he was over priced, but the onus is also on some of our players to get the ball in quick. We're also missing James and Chilwells crosses, which, dont get me wrong I love Azpi, but his and Alonso/Sarrs balls in are not as accurate.

Straight after his miskick he moaned at Callum for not passing then proceeded to stand offside for a few seconds despite the fact we were still attacking.

Not being funny, but the fact of the matter is that he has had good chances and he doesn't take them. Yesterday, got cross, miskicks. City away, clean through hits it too close to the keeper, Spurs CC games two headers puts them wide.

Sorry, but the only way you get away with his work rate is if you convert like Crespo, Pipo or Van Nistlerooy or equivalent. Zero work rate and poor to adequate finishing just means the player is poor.

I mean, what chances do we need to provide him exactly to get him scoring? Taps like against Le Arse, Zenit away and Chesterfield?

There's something horribly wrong with Belgium players. Weak mentality, arrogance, talk way too much, etc. It was calm at Chelsea for a year or so since Courtois and Hazard left but this avarage guy is the problem now. Just get him out.

you are misleading with dutch players/managers.... ; )

that said Chelsea would have courtois, hazard, de bruyne, lukaku... Thats quite half a dream team from goalkeeper to striker..

these players at 100% are unplayable. about lukaku I don't know what are antonio conte's or roberto martinez spells, but they should have a word with tuchel.

yet having the striker of the fifa n°1 world team  striker is quite unbelievable. I'm confident the staff will sort it out. lukaku is a good team8, that's not a group problem. tuchel needs to figure it out, ...  maybe that's a problem because I Guess that's not tuchels transfer

I agree that we don't always play to the strengths of our strikers, attackers etc but this system thing with Lukaku doesn't quite wash (especially when he has bragged about being one of the very best in the world). We never played to Werner's strengths, when he was leading the line last season for example, by releasing the ball quickly, play him into space etc and yet, he still found himself in lots of goalscoring positions - which he sadly missed more often than not - and positions where he created chances for others. With Lukaku? People keep saying Lukaku doesn't get this, doesn't get that. There's so much mental gymnastics going on with him. Plus, never mind scoring, Lukaku has yet to even provide a single assist this season and he has not provided an assist in his last 53 Premier League games.

I suspect they will targeting Salah instead of Lukaku since Messi could play as a false 9.

Yes see what youre saying, and his real worth is probably around 35-40m in todays prices. Think 'zero work rate' is a bit of an exaggeration though - he was constantly seeking space when off the ball when an accurate ball ala Fabregas or Lampard would have sealed it. He also drags two defenders around a lot of the time, which is invaluable. Am not quick for an internet crucifixion, as we know if he scores a few, then the fickle nature of fans will revert. Good thing about Tuchel is he'll drop him soon if theres no improvement in conversion

The stats don't really lie. His pressures per 90 is one of the lowest around, for example.

Werner does this as well and he still got crucified anyway, especially when he didn't cost as much as Lukaku.

Unless he starts scoring against the big teams, in the big games regularly, he's never going to win over the doubters. His record has always suggested him as a flat track bully and we didn't spend 100 million on him to just score here and there and/or against small teams.

How are people so sure about this?

He was also losing areal duels against Dier....

Honestly just take a rubbish bin filled with 100 million and flush it down the toilet. The equivalent of buying Lukaku.

Same fella who didn't even win a single header against Laporte or Stones and then got bossed around by Dan Burn!

newspapers say :

"lukaku is the biggest tuchel's challenge"

that summarizes it all.

lukaku is a beast  when he plays with his strengths ( remember the fridge??? )... tuchel has to figure it out

Yes I highlighted his stats earlier on. Hes a fat fucker, what do you expect ? Osgoods pressure rate was less. His movement off the ball is exemplary, unfortunately his finishing is off atm. Tuchel will give him a few more chances

Only ever saw this on TC and a bit on Shed End forum

Agree with this -bit of a mystery purchase when his record against big teams is dog shit. People on the internet and at SB were repeatedly saying 'we need a striker' last season, unfortunately he was not first choice -buyers remorse is setting in
