Domino- 116
You got o point about the Ivorian kid. There are rumours that he is not even a u-17. Thats really common in African youth teams.Neymar would be a risk, but I think If he succeed his impact would be bigger than Lukaku's.Not only on the pitch but also off the pitch. He would add a lot to Chelsea's brand around the world. Neymar has the pedigree to become a legend, but he might end up as a new Robinho.Lukaku might be a good player, but he would be like Didier. A great player but he is not like Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Ronaldo or Ronaldinho. Players that are in another level as characters.I like yours reasoning must admit. But I disagree with that Lukaku almost nothing to give Chelsea or that Neymar would be far more successful on and off the pitch. Neymar is more technical, but do not know what is unready influence of terrain Neymar not a leader, but Chelsea needs strong characters and the pitch and off it, why not become a leader Lukaku such as Drogba for Chelsea? [# ] Lukaku no technique Neymar largely due to the difference in the physics of both, but there Lukaku far more likely to be necessary in England than Neymar right. I see it in the new Robinho from anywhere. A man who knows what he wants, still remember how he spoke, he wants to Chelsea and the club is waiting to send a new offer, then Robinho as he turned the words, apparently in Spain will give him more money. Remember how it was almost certainly a new addition to Juventus. This shows only one - too many players are influenced by money and this is not a good sign. It wherever he will be a leader, rather a clown who will make the fans laugh.
ChelseaFanUK 1,014
Lukaku will cope with the physical side of the EPL 10x better than Neymar would have, that alone is a reason to choose him over Neymar, plus the fact we could get him for just under 20m less. Neymar is so great?, who has he shown his true greatness against? Brazilian teams? I am not doubting his ability, but Lukaku I think would do better in EPL. Everybody knows that football is not only about physical power, and in PL you dont need to be a tank to succeed. At least everybody that got a clue about the game knows it. IMOPeople said that about Ronaldo when he joined United. I think we all know what happened next. Anyway, this is mere rhetoric, Neymar isn't coming. BlueLion. 21,491
I don't agree with people saying we should not sign Lukaku simply because we already have Drogba. Didier is not the player he was, and of course he is sooner or later going to move on. That means we will need our Plan B - if our 'beautiful football' fails then Lukaku is the perfect replacement. It makes sense to build for the future and a forward line boasting three strikes like Torres, Lukaku and Sturridge offers a range of talents; strength, pace and poise. Lukaku signing for this club would be an exciting and necessary acquisition. Duppy Conqueror

Lukaku yet to be developed and why not become better than Didier himself? Not to mention that Lukaku will be another that comes only because of the many who will take money, Lukaku is a fan of the team and will play with his heart for the club, the players we need such devoted to the cause of the team, not because of higher wage .Lukaku is our man for the moment, but for years to come. Hamilton 2,120
Lukaku's manager joined the player yestarday on the practise ground where Anderlecht is for the moment in Portugal to talk with him.Lukaku himselfs stays calm and doesn't try to think to much about a transfer. As long as he is an Anderlecht player he keeps on working hard and keeps his eye on the first league game with rsca.Meanwhile Anderlecht is waiting for some news on Jovanovic and Mbokani. About Jovanovic theire could be some news later today. About Mbokani it is waiting untill Monaco and the player agree terms. Monaco want to loan him out, Mbokani himself wants a sale.If both of them or one of them moves to Brussel, it could speed things up regarding a move from Lukaku.. Kajo 176
I would rather spent 22m on Lukaku than 45m on Neymar who knows european competitions only from TV. Too much FM guys.
ack17 205
The leading scorer of Belgian Pro League is a 22 years old Croatian, who scored 22 goals and recently transfered to Dortmund for a fee of .... 5M Euro.
Hamilton 2,120
Indeed Perisic scored one or two more then our Jelle Vossen. The Croat is a great player, Dortmund did good buying him for only €5M.. ZanSnake

ChelseaFanUK 1,014
Lukaku's manager admits that City isn't fully out of the race for the young Belgian..I read yesterday, the only hold up with Lukaku to Chelsea is Anderlecht waiting for Jovanovic or Mbokani to reply as you said, and also the amount of money we pay anderlecht upfront. The only way he doesn't come here IMO is if we don't bid. As long as Chelsea are one of the options he has, he would choose us.
