Clearly not ready for chelsea, scoring as a striker, how dares he. He has to take that aspect out of his game to make a chance for a starting spot as our striker.

he also needs to stop being aggressive ,,,needs to learn to prance around like a fairy

On the free kicks ( 2 baine’s goals) I think he made both last passes. Didn’t he? Anyway couldn’t dream of a better start. Perfect for confidence. May this season brings him +15goals

The frustrating thing is he didn't even start a game before getting loaned, deserved a start far more than Torres and Ba at the start of the season.

Happy that he is off to a good start at Everton regardless off the cock up by our lot again with a young player

You don't seem to get it. The goals he'll make this year are not real. They're imaginary goals made in Pixieland. The hard truth is he'll still be young next year. No good playing with young players. We'll get them when they've had their moments, and then play them reminiscing the glory days of yore.

An Everton fan reaction to Lukaku performance today :

"Bossed the game, really. His strength and pace were too much for Collins to handle, Reid did a pretty good job keeping him in check but still couldn't keep him from getting into positions.

He linked up really well with Mirallas, too- he's comfortable on the ball and seemed like he has a decent eye for a pass when it's on also. And the goal he scored was excellent- took the ball outside the 18, laid it off to the wing, got into the box and went in bravely for the header".

Are we going to have this discussion each time he scores?
He was sent to improve as a player, if he can score a lot and improve in the areas that needed improving then we should just be happy as it is a great sign for the things to come.

Remember his age, then remember that he will have two full seasons in good PL-clubs when he gets back. One or two bad games at the bridge and god only knows how much time on the bench that would mean, and the consequences it would have on his development.
If he gets back with great records from both WBA & Everton, it would buy him a lot more confidence and patience from the staff.

17 PL goals for wba and 1 goal for everton in 45 minutes.

but who cares. he is just 20. we should look at his age not at his play. also we have the best striker force in the world and its not biggie that they have not scored in 7 matches yet.

so as u can everything points to the fact that "HE IS NOT READY". :)

i've seen the entire game

his link up play was good

first touch was good

for me he was exellent

great goal

only 1 time he had to shoot faster

every one here says he's not ready is deluded

Depend what you mean by ready. Ready to be a member of our squad and fighting for his place? absolutely. Ready for a #1 forward role he didn't even have at West Brom? no too sure about that one.

The current strikers sure are ready.
