Popular Post! Miguelito 459 Posted March 9, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted March 9, 2013 i am watching the west brom v swansea game now and i just got to the second half, but his first half performance was incredible. absolutely incrediblehes proving everyone that doubted him wrong. his first touch was great in the first half, and so many times with a man on his back pushing him, he still kept it. he took his goal with class. made great contact off a tough ball in and buried it. he worked extremely hard too. he made so many good runs and didnt stop. i think he lost the ball maybe one time the entire half. he could have had a couple of assists off some balls that you would expect from mata. its scary how good he is getting and shows what some playing time and confidence can do for you. i noticed his teammates attitude has changed a little towards him. in the beginning, its not like they tried to get him the ball in the box more often but now they give it to him at basically every opportunity as he always keeps it and always gets it back to a teammate, it doesnt matter if hes under pressure. its a shame he missed his pen but it honestly doesnt change anything for me.it's not his goal that caught my eye, but everything else he did. it was an amazing performance. if he plays like he did in the first half all the time, he would honestly get in to any team in the world. and from the first while in the second half, it is no different. Apparently he's not good enough to lead us to trophies. He'll have played 150 professional games by the end of the season. He's got 19 international caps. He's got 13 league goals in 26 appearances. He's a model pro who loves the game and cried when he first came to Stamford Bridge. In sport, in life, there are people who come along and you have to have a bit of faith in them. I understand the trepidation some might have in doing that with this kid.....no, this man, but isn't that what sport is? Isn't that why we like it? This kid feels like one of us, he loves the club like one of us and he's done more than anyone expected to achieve his stated goal....to come home. He's saying the right things and he's doing the right things.....all he deserves is for us, the club and the supporters, to do the same thing. And he might start slow...that's when we support him. He might fall....that's when we support him. And he might lead us to new glories....that's when we support him. That last one is easy, it's the first two that take character. Kinol 337
I know you guys love the Lukaku and Torres comparisons so here is another one!!!If Lukaku had of scored that penalty then he'd be on 14 premier league goals this season. Torres has 14 PL goals since he joined Chelsea. Santiago., Beigl and BlueLion.

Popular Post! HillWBA 77 Posted March 10, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted March 10, 2013 He is insane. Ashley Williams couldnt live with him today he resorted to throwing his dummy out and fouling him. Our chances of bringing him back for another year are diminishing by the game but its so great to see a player who has impoved so much in the last 5-6 months and is now in red hot form at the tender age of 19.I do think next season will be tougher for him as defenders work him out like other strikers have, but as its looking atm i cant see how defenders will work him out!! He said he wants to be a Chelsea legend and i think he might just become one, but he is definately an Albion hero already. The Skipper 20,609
I honestly wouldn't mind if he came back and he was our starting striker for next season. I think he's ready, and he has the character to play at a big club IMO.It shows you what confidence and a run of games can do for a player - people underestimate what a good run of games can do for a player, especially when they're young and playing at the highest level. He's laughing right now at the people that were writing him off because of his price tag. Fully worth it.

That last one is easy, it's the first two that take character. If we do bring in a new striker next season (and I will be surprised if we don't...considering how this season has gone), I don't want Lukaku to come back and end up like Daniel Sturridge. It largely depends on how the next manager plans to use his squad. If he can promise Lukaku enough game time, fine. But seeing as how we operate on a one-striker system...I'm not very hopeful.
ja1 1,166
AVB never wanted Lukaku & it showed w/ the amount of time he was given to play. AVB didn't rate him much. TBH gaffers @ CFC don't get time to create teams. They are expected to win immediately by the Board & the fans.AVB did use him, gave him his debut very early on in his Chelsea career, came off the bench against Arsenal and United and started against Fulham and Liverpool in the Carling Cup. I also like RDM and think he shouldn't have been sacked of course, but under RDM Lukaku was not a part of any matchday squad, even in the FA Cup for games like Leicester, until the last game of the season when everything was set in stone for the league.
