Stats 7,142
Reports suggesting Lukaku may be set for a loan move to Fulham. Would be supportive of this move if he is guaranteed first team starts on a regular. I think he would though as they only have 1 recognised striker in Rodallega who only managed 2 league goals last season and although Dempsey was play in the striker role last season, he may be on his way to Liverpool. But getting a season loan at another premiership team like Fulham doesnt sound bad so he can prove what he can do mediator
BlueLion. 21,491
I don't think he's 'guaranteed' starts. That is the exact reason why so many on here are disheartened, because they want to see our youngsters playing every week. That is unrealistic. Even with Fulham's lack of strikers, they still have Dembele who is truly a striker, and Dempsey has moreorless been converted into a striker himself by Martin Jol. Lukaku is not at all certain to play. He will have to fight for his place.

He may not be guaranteed but he would definitely get more game time there. I still would like to see him at a Sunderland kind of team, who I believe could do with a striker like Lukaku
termninja 5,290
Clubs can't guarantee a youngster a starting place when they are taking him on loan. You just don't put all that faith into a 18 year old kid in the strongest league in the world. If Lukaku impresses them on training and when he gets his chance more chances will come. He keeps doing well he'll get to a starting position. That's the way it works. It's a great thing that Fulham doesn't have someone like Zamora anymore so there is definitely space for Romelu there.I would fully expect him to break through. BlueSanti 290
He can impress us in few hours. Expect him to be in starting line-up against Seattle. mediator

Ashblues 30
We are in many competitions this year. I believe that he will do better than Torres if we give him enough chances. He should stay IMO. Moreover, I do not like Fulham.

Chelsea? 892
Hope he Atleast plays some preseason with us. So all these players might go on loan:KDBJoshLukakuMakita. That leaves our depth looking bare

The Big Drog 1,110
Not over the moon with him despite the goals. He still is sort of a Heskey out there! The technique still does need a bit of refinement but he has the time and the tools to improve. I thought he led the line well last night, his pace and power provide a real threat to opposition backlines and he took his goals well. zolayes and chillerz

The Big Drog 1,110
Is it me or Lukaku can't jump for shit?TBH I didn't really notice, I will look out for that more the next time I see him play. I would say that his touch is still occasionally a bit wayward as is some of his passing but even Drogba's touches and passes drew a bit of criticism early in his Chelsea career and he was significantly older than Lukaku. Nic! 301
Looking forward to see what he can do against the bigger teams. Again, he's only 19. Drogba came to Chelsea when he was 26 (I think?), so he has about 7 years to get to that level. chillerz

This is what I always said he was brought for the future, so people are ridicules trying to count him now in our present plan.Truth is that he might not be ready for Chelsea first team till a couple of seasons. Hutcho 8,443
He was pretty good imo, especially for someone who everyone (including me) at times compares to drogba which is unfair on him. His first touch wasn't great yesterday/today (whatever), but you saw in his second goal his emence strength, and pace to power passed the defender. For me i would hate to see him go on loan. He has a great chance of getting some games this season, as a backup to torres, and has shown he can be better than useful. Also if we loan him, we need to get someone else in as we can't just have 2 strikers, so why not keep him, and give him a chance. zolayes

He is still improving and may not hit his best for 5 years. He is only 19 aswell so could eve get taller... chillerz

Not ready for 5 years????And then for 5 years rely on Torres and Sturridge???Insanity, which is why I want another striker/winger to help give us that extra number.I wonder if Moses can be the one to do that, giving that we might not get Hulk now. uzairblue 22
Lukaku has what it takes to be Drogba !! Just needs focus and work on finishing. His built gives him strenght such as Drogba who bullied all the team defenders
