xPetrCechx 13,571
Um, why? What has Lukaku actually done in a Chelsea shirt? He should definitely get a chance to fight for a spot, and HE GOT THAT LAST YEAR BUT ASKED TO LEAVE.One more time for the people asleep at the back of the class.HE RECEIVED A CHANCE AT THIS CLUB AND ASKED TO LEAVE.Now someone convince me that Jose will respect that attitude. That's Jose Mourinho. This guyWhen he got the chance?

bababoom 4,478
I personally wouldn't care at all if we sold him, he's good but imo he has too many flaws in his game to ever be great. It's alright scoring goals for West Brom and Everton, but when he plays for a top side he'll struggle IMO, 70 percent of the time teams sit back and as we know Lukaku looks like a headless chicken when he has no space to run into. On top of all that, he's a cunt as well, just watch Luis' interview and compare his attitude to Lukaku'... Luis is arguably one of the best LBs in the game right now and he still wants to improve be more 'complete', whereas the 'humble' 21 year old thinks he's already the complete package, he's a fucking joke. Popular Post! Peace. 4,352 Posted July 19, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 19, 2014 Therefore, the 'betterment of the club' this season, as you say, is to not have a single 'bad apple' in the group (especially in the eyes of the manager). The manager needs to be 100% sure that everyone is pulling in the same direction. Mourinho cannot be sure with Lukaku, so unless we see a miraculous change in attitude (accepting his position as no.2) the best thing 'for the club' is to move him on for the biggest price possible, as soon as possible. You are right in what you are saying. Keeping Lukaku in this situation, does not necessarily consist in being a "betterment" for the club, at all ; and it could be quite the contrary. When a player's head is off, then it is pretty much a lost cause. It takes a player to be an excellent professional in order to give near 100% in this kind of context ; and he will never 100%, consciously or not. Now, these past three seasons, we have witnessed how much Lukaku is professional ; and humble. Firstly he vividly criticized André Villas-Boas for not playing — it is classy to shot on a dead man walking... And to be honest, in regards of the situation, giving Lukaku playing-time was certainly one of the last priorities at that time (especially since he was absolutely dreadful when playing). Then, when having to face to competition of the Wonder-Horse and the 45 years-old Eto'o — people like to include Ba, but the truth is that he would have been sold or loaned, had Lukaku stayed —, he opted for the easy way and to go out on loan. Finally, he told the world that "clubs are interested in me", and pretentiously "Chelsea know my point of view".How it will fare when he will realise that the complete striker that he is will be the second choice, at best, by a fine margin, and will have to fight for game time against the Wonder-Horse, the one and only Ladyboy ?Mourinho seeks from each of his players to give everything they have. I say Mourinho, but it is how modern football works. It happens that Lukaku does not really take part to the collective effort of his team-mate ; every time I saw him play, he was just strolling around the pitch awaiting for someone to put him through the goal. This kind of attitude does not go well with the ambitions we have.So basically, we have on our hands a player : that does not really intend to fight for his place and who is eyeing for a move away from us ; that as the tendency to bitch when he is not pampered and denied the starting position ; that seems to bigger himself and feels he is as big as the club, as he pretentiously said "Chelsea knows my point of view" (who the hell does he thinks he is to say such a thing ?) ; that does feel like working hard for the team. When you put all these variables all together, it seems more likely that keeping him will result as having a dead weight than having a "betterment" for our squad. His last words were down the line of him and his agent would see what is best for him. He might of sounded to big for his boots but he basically was saying he feels he is capable of scoring goals and starting and fighting for honours. He never exactly said he is not going to play for a team if he is not made the undisputed striker. So much criticsm of him but I guess we will know more this upcoming week.If he comes out with the news that he is willing to fight for his place I think regardless of previous comments all Chelsea fans would appreciate that. didierforever 7,349
Maybe because he is still a Chelsea player? This is irrelevant compared to what he has said most recently. You do not seem to fully understand my perspective. Let me be clear:If Lukaku leaves, for whatever fee, there is obviously some want for the player to leave himself. Otherwise he would simply say 'No, I want to fight for my place/be the future of this club' and sign a new contract. So let's get that straight. It will not matter who, as long as they accept their role as no.2 and do not try to create discontent it would be more progressive than having someone who sulks when he isn't picked. Chelsea will always attract good talent anyway. You are confusing problems. Our main problem was not having a competent no.1 striker, that has been solved (most likely). Our current problem is Lukaku, a striker who isn't happy in his role.Remember how terrible it was to have Torres moaning at every opportunity, blaming his shit performances on everyone and everything (including his teammates)? Remember how shit that was? Well that will happen again if we just go into this season 'hoping' Lukaku is fine with the situation. It has to be sorted beforehand. No mate, the harsh reality is that Lukaku has basically talked himself into a corner where he has two simple options: 1) Accept being no.2, sign a new contract and be patient.2) Be sold.Right now, he is taking option 2 unless he decides otherwise. THIS. this is very different from what u said in the first post. IF lukaku is not happy with being no.2, then he can get lost!!! but the way people have been speaking, they make it seem that selling him no matter what (even if he wants to stay and fight for his place) is a brilliant idea. why? just cos lukaku would be entering the last year of his contract and his value will decrease. right now, lukaku personally cant be dumb enough to not know that we are his best chance at glory!!!he wants to play in a CL club, i cant see where other than us he can play. moreover, right now there are sources, like sky which confirm that he will be fighting for the spot while there are tabloids like mail, telegraph who sprout nonsense day after day that he is on his way out. and then there are a certain posters on here who clearly have an agenda over him. zolayes

I'm pretty sure Hazard and Courtois aren't coming back for almost another two weeks because of Belgium reaching the QFs and Lukaku was a part of the same team so he's probably been given the same time off.Cutting his holiday short in favour of joining the squad early would be a great way to show Mourinho he's finally ready to let the football do the talking but I won't believe it till I see it.
