totally agree. has already shown he has what it takes to play for us. next season it will be interesting to see what jose does.

To be fair, we're letting a 21 year old go on loan to give a 19 year old experience.

We have to keep either him or Zouma. I believe Kalas is more ready to be with the first team.

Fourth choice CB isn't going to get a massive amount of minutes so it's about blooding the player, getting him used to being in the squad, learning our game and giving Jose a proper chance to assess him.

Kalas had that, Zouma needs that.

Having said that I get the feeling Jose sees something in Zouma that he likes. Physically he's on a completely different level to Kalas.

The issue with Kalas is a lack of playing time. He might be more ready to be part of Chelsea's first team...but another wasted season with 3-4 appearances won't help his development

That's a good point. But as youngster on the bench, you never know when a starter gets injured or loses form and you get a chance to cement your place. So how would Kalas feel if Zouma does so next season while he's out on loan?

That said, I don't think any of our youngsters will get many chances next season with the pressure to win, so you're probably right...
