Oriol Romeu

Wouldn't a loan there make more sense? One last chance to see how he gets on at a good PL side.

What if he becomes fantastic there and we've sold him permanently for cheap?

Dude seriously? After many year of loan, he would not want to stay here no more even if he does well.

We suck there's nothing more to say if he turns out good.

Because we don't give much chances to younger players.

I've a feeling he'll do really well. I think all he needed was the chance to play in a good organised team, he should get that at Soton. Sadly, his big chance seemed to pass him by when he got that injury just after Benitez arrived. It seemed like he was going to be a starter for us under him.

I wish him all the best, I really do. Maybe it might make Mourinho reconsider his CM options.

Unlikely considering Romeu has never been part of his plans.

He's had how many loans? That's not fair to the player. I hope he does well.

All I'm asking is what if he does phenomenally well at Southampton (however doubtful it is)?

Could be a Mikel replacement next season.

Then they have a good player on their hands. Not fair to the player to keep him around if the club has no plans for him.

we have mvg and pasalic for that. romeu is no where near to good enough.

Come on. We know with 99.99% certainty that we'll never see either of them playing in our first team. Romeu either. I was just asking a hypothetical.

i know. but i was just saying that IF we want to replace mikel with someone currently on our books, we have already have 2 options better than romeu. so if we are getting some money out of this deal, so be it.
