CHOULO19 24,332
José reckons he has a broken finger (I did see him call on the physios after the Spurs equaliser) so he might be out for up to 14 days. Or he could play with a splint, but there's always a risk. One of the advantages of having someone like Petr Cech as back up is that you don't at all need to take any risks in situations like this. BlueLyon 9,359
Im surprised he got so little stick. Through whole season, he was quite protected by our defense, now he had opportunity to realy stand out and when he was realy tested, he reacted poorly. I know he couldnt do much (apart from Kane's first goal), but he should pull rabbit out of the hat. Its what world class keepers do. It looks impossible, but they still do it.Bald prediction, but if we had Cech on goal, we would not concede 5 fucking goals against tottenham. As much Courtois is good keeper, he will need to stand out more to keep our team winning in games like this.

He went down too slow for top keeper.I don't think he could have saved the first one for sure, I will admit I haven't seen - nor will I ever - any highlights of the game, so the other goals are debatable. But Kane's first goal - no chance. The penalty - no chance. Unlucky with the second goal as it was a ricochet after some shite defending. You can't blame him too much. Tomo 21,751
With the possible exception of Austin s equaliser for QPR at The Bridge, I don't think he could have done much about any goal conceded all season. He's fine.
CHOULO19 24,332
I think a top keeper like Thibaut should be saving the first goal most of the times. It was a very powerful shot, but it was along the ground from 35-40 yards out; it didn't really move or deviate and he saw it all the way. Should have gotten down a bit quicker. Not really "blaming", but I think he's capable of saving that. xPetrCechx
Special Juan 28,141
I think people are trying to look for a space goat, and the way it's going he could be the new Mikel.

MCM4PR3Z 411
Nice piece of an interview with Courtois. When Courtois was 11 years old he wanted to quit playing football completely and go play volleyball like the rest of his family. But when he wanted to go play volleyball, they said that the season had begon already and that he was too late to subscribe. So to continue to do something of a sport, he subscribed himself back in a football team. When he was 18, Genk had chosen for Casteels (now keeper of Hoffenheim), for the vacant goalkeeper space in the first team. Courtois was somewhere between the first team and the reserve squad and Genk didn't have a real plan with him and he had the feeling that nobody in the club counted on him anymore. So he had no motivation to train well, he stopped learning for school, hang out with some wrong friends and planned to quit playing football completely again. But eventually, when he had to do his year over in school. He made a click and trained his ass off with Jos Beckx (youth teams goalkeeper coach) and Guy Martens (first team goalkeeper coach) for 6 months in a row and his professional football career got launched very quickly. MCM4PR3Z 411
Thibaut got chosen as the second best goalkeeper in the world in 2014 by the IFFHS. I think it's a bit odd that DDG hasn't got any votes at all. Surely, he is not at the level of Courtois, but he is better than some of the goalkeepers in that list. It also has to be said that it is a German organisation, so maybe the gap (216 points, 96 points) could have been smaller in an international organisation.http://www.iffhs.de/the-worlds-best-goalkeeper-2014/

MCM4PR3Z 411
The FIFPro World XI has been anounced before the Ballon D'Or. Neuer was chosen as the goalkeeper of the first team, Courtois was chosen as the goalkeeper of the reserves. So in every important competition, Neuer has been chosen as the best goalkeeper of 2014 and Courtois has been chosen as the second best goalkeeper. In the coming years, there will be great battles between Neuer, Courtois and DDG. Although DDG still has to do more to prove he is there to stay, but I'm sure he will do that.
