zolayes 14,489
i typed out a long reply about Yuri (sharing my love for him) but it failed to send,,grrrrr keeps auto saving my posts and if they are anything over 3 or 4 lines it`s hit and miss if they`ll send.usually miss as they just get stuck on auto-saving. he was very unlucky with us ,,partly due to injury but more due to our inability to play him in his BEST position as an out and out left winger.he could have solved that problem for us .. instead we persisted with malouda
The Big Drog 1,110
Zhirkov had a lot of pace, skill and was an attacking player. Btw. his nickame is "Russian Ronaldinho".To say Zhirkov had a lot of pace is a bit of an exaggeration, definitely two very different players, Marin had much more about him in an attacking sense. Shane 2,275
I still think of Yuri in a positive regard. Came in and did his job when he had too. xPetrCechx, DDA and Invasion
Jase 43,479
Will not forget this from Zhirkov. An absolute quality goal.
termninja 5,290
If we do sign both Hulk and Hazard, Marin will definitely be on the bench. I hope he can do well here and put pressure on our wing positions. Can't wait to see him in action after a couple of years of watching Anelkalouda terrorize the opponents

Jase 43,479
From Yuri i remember the game against villa with the penalties...Aah, the 7-1 thrashing of VIlla. Good old days that. xPetrCechx
Invasion 13
Btw Zhirkov is doing great in his current club and he definitely gonna be in Russia's starting eleven at EURO. Recently he said that hes happy for Chelsea but he does not regret that he left the club. Sheva.

Duppy Conqueror 1,537
he was very unlucky with us ,,partly due to injury but more due to our inability to play him in his BEST position as an out and out left winger.he could have solved that problem for us .. instead we persisted with maloudathat in part was what i had typed out in the post that didn't send . that i think the fact that he could play LB was what may have resulted in him starting so many games on the bench. i think Carlo saw him as being good to have there so he could cover two positions.if you have Malouda on the bench he`s only really covering for one.i will always love Yuri because i really think he saved our bacon, our double when Cole missed that time through injury that season. i really can't remember him letting us down when called upon and unlike Malouda ,Yuri always seemed to play with his heart in it. we didn't see the best of him because he was kept away from showing it but there was still some golden moments. i`ll be watching him in the Euro`s and wishing him well, atleast i presume he`s in the Russian squad.he`s the only player i have had in signature pic on here.. zolayes
Jase 43,479
Marin on securing a first team place...http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2557/news/2012/05/30/3138140/marin-confident-of-first-team-place-at-chelsea-confirmsHe told Spox.com: "I am sure that I will play for Chelsea. Why? Because they took me to London. The management has convinced me. It is a top-team!"They have won the Champions League. The club, the scouting, the management, they have often observed me and they are convinced that I can help the team."

Jase 43,479
Wonder when can we expect an interview with him on Chelsea TV. Signed months ago but has hardly got a mention in getting an exclusive interview with the club.
Spike 12,049
This guy just knows how to win new fans at a new club.If he scores around 5 goals and makes about 10 assists, in the League I will consider him a success.I think he could have a partnership with Hulk. Marin makes space with his dribbles thus creating room for Hulk to cut in and shoot.
Azpinator 2,325
He chooses his words much better than Hazard I think..
CHOULO19 24,332
I am really excited about Marco. He has the skills and the pressure on him is minimal. I have a feeling he will be a great success here. laura90
BlueLyon 9,359
The most that makes me excited is that he is GERMAN! They never fail and it will be great to see rotation between Mata/Hazard/Hulk and Marin. There are no real expectations on him, I guess he can only surprise. xPetrCechx

Jase 43,479
I have the feeling Marin will be a huge success. My gut says he is the player who will prove to be the most value for money spent in this window.Am in agreement with that. Think he will surprise lots of people out there especially those who just asumme he's gonna be a squad player.
