To be honest, i like the ruthless way AVB is managing this club. He's taking no prisoners and he's telling players to either perform ( like Torres) or get out of the team. I like this type of management and he's been ruthless with Lampard too ! We need this approach because it resonates a message through the camp !

It doesnt surprise me. The club has treated the legends of the club in a very insulting way, so treating Anelka (who isnt what Id call a legend) like that...sounds pretty much like Chelsea

The problem is not being a tough guy, the problem is being an tough guy with bad tactics, bad results and failing to improve the team spirit, because other than sounding as a iron man, he sounds like a pathetic character, and that is ecxatly what AVB is until this moment.

I'm aware he comes across like a tough-talking bottler when it boils down to results at the moment, but results take time and concerted effort. Depends on your perspective.

Probably because here we understand that we need a long term manager. We also understand that its not just the managers fault, but the players too, a lot of the time there are clear half-assed efforts & lack of commitment. This is still the the old Mourinho engine (but rusty). AVB is trying to replenish the squad - I think we can only truly assess him after the summer/opening of next season.

Lot of people here already believes he is not the right man, and others wont be unhappy If he gets the axe but wont say it.

Generally speaking I think most don't want him to be sacked. 5 months into the job, he's made mistakes yes, but like I've said already, he is working with a rusting squad. Give him time to buy his players and his methodology will begin to shine.
