Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

Too little too late, his pre-match preparation should have been conclusive. No excuses, especially after the United game..

How could he have been so complacent?.. considering the amount of pressure on him right now.

Just like Wenger last couple of seaons?

SAF this season in CL?

He screw up big deal. He will learn just like these managers.

This thread is littered with contradictions. Supporting AVB.. yet pointing out his 'many' tactical faults/naivety, backing stability for the sake of stability.

If Jose’ is genuinely serious about 'finally' settling down for the long haul, Roman needs to swallow his pride and reinstate the special one. I dread to think what will happen If he ends up at United, City or Spurs, and stays there for 10-20 years.

Attempt at logic (please dispute it if you think something is wrong) :

We should not support the manager because he makes mistakes.

All humans make mistakes and all managers are human. ===> We should not have any manager? No, that can't be right..

I guess the point that most the members are trying to make is that we still have faith Andre because:

1) He is bright and young and has the potential to become one of the best managers in the world.

2) His working conditions have been far from perfect with our current squad. So he has been unable to put his philosophy in parctice and show his managerial qualities. To quote Zolayes: " Andre is expected to make omelettes with no eggs."

3)His signings and his tactics at the start of the season have proved, imo, that there are very few managers who are more fit to lead the club through this overhaul.

4)He has been at the heart of the current "revolution" at the club, even if it is still at the beginning. Sackng him now and bringing a manager who knows nothing about the players and the clubs problems whould be throwing 7 months down the drain.

Yeah Bosingwa really needs to go, David Luiz is still struggling and mistake prone at the moment, that's why Cahill has to be in, if you want a good defender on the bench, then put Luiz on the bench, Cahill must start ahead of him, he would of been vital for Everton game, i think the whole defence struggled, Ivan just isn't a centre back anymore for me, should be played right back and stop playing that prick Bosingwa, shouldn't even be on the bench, should be Chalobah,Bertrand on the bench, but now it should be Chalobah,Ferriera on the bench, with Ivanovic-Cahill-Luiz-Bertrand playing.

Not just for stability, but for a chance for him to correct his errors this season. He's young and he's learning, and it could be argued that he wasn't a good appointment because of that, but the fact is what's happened has happened.

A certain risk has to be taken with Villas-Boas. The final product of his management style could be sensational next season, or the one after. To use that cliché, Fergie & Wenger did it, there's no reason with AvB cannot.

I admit, even I'm disillusioned by this season, but I'm not writing him off in his first season. It would be just like when we were all blinded by Carlo's début season and chanted "King Carlo", ignoring problems that were going unnoticed because of the winnings of that season.

"Maybe I will have some retrospective of what I did and think about the preparation.

"I will reflect hard with my technical staff on my decision-making."

-AVB

If that thinking curtails of dropping Bosingwa then he has done one smarter move!

And if he can add some more playing time to Ryan to change it up with A. Cole then that will be a great bonus. :)

Did he really say that? If so then brilliant, let's hope the penny has finally dropped now on certain aspects, like what you just mentioned.

1- being young is not a good reason to support a manager.

2- our squad is not as bad as some of you try to picture.

3- his signings were Meirelres, a stupid one, and Mata, a player that the manager still doesnt know whats his position on the pitch. The rest, like Lukaku, were club signings.

4- he is not the heart of any kind of revolution, its a club revolution and it will happen regardles the managers.

- You are behind him because you are the kind of guy that thinks asking for a managers head is a ugly thing.

If we want we can see the difference between Carlo and Andre. It's mainly how they think.

Andre is what TX is trying to be... :D

Oh, so one full season where he is proving to be a pathetic manager is not enough to realize he is not the right man? You should at least say you are not sure about his future, but insisting he must be given another season is not a wise thing.

Against Birmingham he needs to show some intention. His words make me hopeful, although I realize it won't probably make a difference - Bosingwa and Cole to start, Torres to flop, Mata on the wing, midfield without a clue. Will be glad to be proved wrong. I will be happier if there'll be significant changes and we lose with pride and intention to change things than play zombies yet again and lose with shame.

I really hope they have some people keeping an eye on fan forums and general opinions. All of them should know what we think. Booing and being silent in stadiums isn't good enough.

1. No, but it is a good reason to understand that maybe he makes inexperienced mistakes, and we should support him since because of his young age, he should be more willing to change his ways than older, more experienced managers.

3. Meireles is a squad player, and it's unfair to call him a stupid signing, for 13m he's a pretty good player on form. Mata plays on the left wing because we have NO ONE else to play there, the only time AVB plays Mata behind the striker is when Malouda is on the left wing, and when that happens you all cry over the fact that Malouda is on the pitch! And Romeu was a good signing.

4. Yes, it's a club revolution, but he was brought here for the revolution, hence, he's the heart of it.
