Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

I don't think Boas is authority in dressing room. He should become dictator in order to get respet from all the players, even if they hate him, they will respect him, if he shows image of tough guy. We have a lot of examples: Mourinho, Hiddink, SAF... Manager who doesn't get respect from players is Wenger. That's why Arsenal is so shit and I'm afraid Chelsea is taking this path.

I normally agree with most of the things you say and i do agree with most of the above bar the Wenger remark! So when Arsenals untouchables, a squad consisting of players such as Henry, Pires and co, his authority was a question then? No. You have to remember that it is the calibre of players the manager is working with that has a huge affect on how the team performs. Henry, Parlour, Pires, Lumberg and Vieira wouldn't have just stood about the pitch when losing grip on on such an important position in the league! AVB clearly doesn't take any crap from people. I mean just look at the way he responds to the media who are on his case in every single press conference he attends to!

I think the only way a coach can have full authority in dressing room is for the club to back him fully.

I personally think being a dictator should be the last choice. I mean, we are talking about adults, or a bunch of 6-year-old kids? respecting the manager and his choices should be the rule, not an option <_<

The way they've been acting, 6 year-olds are too mature for them..

A positive article for a change: AVB boasts Abramovich trust

Were talking about a squad of workers being paid handsomely to follow orders from someone a step higher in the foodchain, they are paid to do as the manager sees fit whether they like it or not, the question of is the manager good enough gets asked by the people higher in the club than the gaffer not lower.

Lmao, how is that 'normal' exactly?.. players actively not supporting your methods..

I wonder if he got mis quoted.

Cause I remember he said it's normal when they ask about Mourinho texting his players, as he do the same with the players from Academica and Porto.

I don't know if he said this is normal twice.....

AVB will be a new man come next season. Witha group of lads that will respect him and young in age, he would be able to carry out his barcelona 2.0 plan. but lets face it, you cant teach an old dog new tricks, and it was imposible from the start to try and get these guys to number one 'respect you when your practically thier age.' i dont like that one bit but come on we're just stating the obvious. next thing you know nico and alex are like lepers and casted away which i believe rocked the dressing room. so thats it, do the job listen through one ear and out the other and they would do what they want to do and make life a living hell for AVB. then add that he gives the players alot of power cuz he cant enforce things like other manger only grows their influence even more.

second, since when was drogba, lampard, jt malouda and mikel going to be able to play that high tempo runiin all day and all night and become technical specialists in a matter of months. like i said 'cant teach new dog old tricks' and it was a disaster from the begining. these guys all relied on brute strength to get them through the cream of the crop, and low of the lows. and it worked and brought titles. no complaining from us, but this new system is the polar opposite of what their used to. HOWEVER! avb should have noticed this and changed to what would work for them instead he hasnt and continued plugin away at his vision of next years team instead of this years. so player power wich was already high, (dangerous for any club) was also angry and retaliated.

i personally love avb and what he's trying to do this club and i know and believe he will be successful. all i ask for him is to work with whats at his disposal!! dont talk about next year this next year that! ride the ship and get us to a final in one of the cups. all managers before failed at managing their 'current squad' not on what they were planning for next season!? so what makes avb think that he can THROW AWAY this year? idk, maybe he needs two years to establish his philosophy, or he's being cocky that he has two years booked as apposed to other CFC managers. all i know is that he better save this sinking ship and fast because next year can wait!! andi think we all would agree with that. I dont want to become another liverpool where not being in UCL could be looked at as good thing, we're better than that and we couldnt possibly survive without UCL.

BLUE IS THE COLOR, FOOTBALL IS THE GAME.......

Pinto: Villas-Boas has been a little arrogant at Chelsea

http://www.talksport...rrogant-chelsea

I thought it was a good listen.

AVB is a new young manager, and has made some mistake. But he still has great potential, and if AVB can correct some of that by next season (if he still is here) then it will be a great step up.
