Henrique 9,133
It is of great amusement to me that the "AVB out?" thread has reached 35 pages in length. I can't believe people want to see him go. It's like they haven't learnt anything. If this guy isn't given another few seasons to prove himself then I just don't know.If you dont understand why so many people want him sacked, then I dont know. communicate 2,703
Probably the reason I want him to stay at least until next season are : - I like the way porto played last year and I wonder how good Chelsea can be if he has the player that he need - I hate manager turnover
capriccioso 2,545
I'm sick of all these managerial philosophies. Come in and be pragmatic, you won't make a lasting impression on the squad anyway as you'll be sacked in 24 months so why bother? If only all our (or any) managers brought that attitude. We'd be a lot better off.All I have against him at this point are awful substitutions and poor work in the transfer market. Romeu and Mata have been good, yes, but the signings of Cahill and Lukaku seem pointless. I'm also unhappy with the treatment he gave Alex. He's also caved and allowed the players to gain power over him. Tactically, he is not very astute but at least if he figures out our strengths and plays to them, thats all we really need. Motivation is something I've noticed has been lacking since "bad moment". I'm not sure this is the managers fault, I think our senior core have simply got the attitude that enough is enough, we've had successful enough careers, we don't need to bother anymore. kiaretta985 131
Why would they think it when they've known it and exercised that power since before Mourinho left? If Drogba and his faction want AVB out, theres not a lot anyone can do to stop it.there's no way Drogba and co. are more powerful than the President, or than Roman. If they don't like AVB, then they can leave! (this is just my unpopular opinion, of course!)
capriccioso 2,545
It's not about being more powerful than them. They have the respect and like of Roman. Drogba has previously (working with Cech and Ballack) engineered the sacking of a manager, by basically talking to Roman and asking him to get rid of him. If he really is bothered, he can do it again, especially when you consider Scolari actually performed slightly better than Villas-Boas.

Fernando 6,585
http://www.telegraph...to-Hiddink.htmlAVB is doomed, because the club wont accept less than the 4th place or a decent run in UCL.Im afraid those things wont happen.I don't think you should believe that. Cause the telegraph seems like so pro Hiddink.I remember in the summer when they had it as done deal that Hiddink would take over. And so much story about Hiddink, to turn out to be a big farse. And how do you know the club won't accept below 4th? Are you the owner? The board? So please stop saying stuff like that, because you don't know.

If you woke up tomorrow and all over the back pages was printed, "AVB Sacked!". What then? Out of all of the available managers, if you could choose one, who would it be? Clevemayer 764
I will still stick with AVB, you clearly see the players can't do what he wants at the pitch exclude Mata, all others look totally clueless and thats not because of AVB, as you've seen all his dossiers, and what he's done to avarage teams, and consider into that that o your players are declineing stars since 3 Seasons now, the probabilityP(AVB | Bad Manager) = 0.01, P(Squad|Not So good) = 0.7, and given 1 = 100 percent so bayes tells usSquad = manager ^ playerP(this squad | loosing) = P(Squad(manager ^ Players) * P(loosing)/P(loosing)if I can remind this formular correctly, you can see why we're loosing with this teamgreets
Fernando 6,585
Villas-Boas: Forget the players, all I need is backing from the boss (that's trigger-happy Abramovich...)Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2102041/Andre-Villas-Boas-All-I-need-backing-Roman-Abramovich.html#ixzz1mYcP0CJrI do have to mention something. That AVB comments reminds me a lot of Madrid fans.Beginning of the season: "We got a great squad and can win 3 trophies"By December: "We stil got a great chance to win 2 trophies"By March: "We still got a chance of winning la liga"By June: "We are the club with the most history, who cares about not winning anything!" CHOULO19 24,332
I missed his press conference but it looks like he more or less confirmed the row with the players:"They don't have to back my project, only the owner needs to back my project," the former Porto man told reporters.""I think the owner has full trust in me and will continue to progress with the ideas that we have.""There was a meeting of technical staff and players, nothing dramatic. Everybody understands we need more [than we are giving] and responsibility for this must be shared between the players and management.""In the end, that is the objective of getting us the best position possible in the league, plus these two trophies, which we are fighting for.http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/02/16/2909804/andre-villas-boas-claims-he-doesnt-need-support-of-hishttp://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/premierleague/story/andre-villas-boas-not-all-chelsea-players-supportive-021612

It Drogba looks like he's headed for China this summer, don't know where Lamps will end up - I think he should go get that coaching license cuz i can see him being a great coach in the future - return and coach us in the mid future.
