On the occasions we actually do get in the ball around their box we look like Mourinho's Chelsea near the end. Everything grinds to a standstill, everyone just standing around. We make it so damned easy for these lesser teams to defend us and get back into position because we're not moving quickly.

A short corner in the 97th or 98th minute, thats fucking embarrassing. Hazard and Pedro should both be fined for that shit just get it in the fucking box you idiots. Just sums up our afternoon nobody gave a shit, not one player, embarrasing they were there for the taking today.

A point isn't bad but FML, we didn't even try to win the game, did we? A hopeless match between two hopeless teams. Have to now beat Watford and Leicester to get that Top 4!

Even when I myself did not like the low intensity displayed by players in the second half, I think it's largely tactical issues that are making great players look good, good players mediocre, and mediocre players look bad. That's very typical when the system is not working.
The team is unbalanced between the right and the left: one side is super defensive and offers little to nothing up front, while the other is completely exposed without cover. Even the player who could provide that cover, plays on the right side of the midfield (kante).
Because of the above unbalance, I was expecting Sarri to play a 4 defense line only on paper. Since the previous seasons showed how to better utilize the players at his disposal: Alonso close to the opposition goal and Azpi close to our goal. Yet, when I watch the team play, the defense line is fairly flat and high. This makes every counter attack a freaking nightmare.
In the end, it seems like it's the manager trying really hard to fit several round pegs in square holes... and many times over.

That's true but the thing is, that only happened in the second half of last season. Take that away and Conte actually wasn't that stubborn in making changes. His in-game management, especially in his first season, was great. Sarri hasn't done none any of that at all!

NO ONE NO FUCKING ONE wants to posession football. Posession football is the antidote of beautiful football. Posession football is what was successfull 10 years ago. We are playing posession football and it sucks having 70% of the ball adn 0% of the goals . 

I get everyone wants to play beautiful possession based football, but you can’t have only one system. Even in 4-3-3 you can change so many things - not Sarri apperantly. And not giving chances to younger players in dead games is beyond me...

we cant score from open play nor set pieces, cant counter attack cross or shoot from distance. Sarri has made us the most boring and predictable team i have ever seen. 

When the ball turns over quickly we are utterly clueless. It's our biggest Achilles heel. We have no recovery pace and leaves massive areas of the pitch completely vacant for opponents to attack.
That's down to coaching. If we're going to play this shape and system Alonso CANNOT bloody play! 

Hate to say this, but this Chelsea side (I wont say "team" because they're not) dont do come-backs. This could easily finish 4-0 to the rags. Jorginho, way too lightweight and brings absolutely nothing to the table. Alonso....well its fucking Alonso.....What did Sarri expect???? No fucking movement upfront either. We've been sussed out months ago and Sarri-ball just wont work. Goodbye Sarri, you're knowledge and understanding of the ENGLISH game is pure shite and you have failed to adapt to it. We are a joke, but I'm not fucking laughing

Back 4 is terrible...Do not have any football iq...what the hell is with these safe passes and where is movement of our players...i doubt that sarri will change anything...they keep on putting these pathetic performances..i dont think he will last long if he continues like this...Hope they do not score 2 more in the second half...

It doesn't matter what manager we have or what tactics we play. 
There is something seriously wrong in our dressing room, sacking Sarri isn't going to solve a single thing. Yeah we may through a mini honeymoon period with a new manager but sh*t will fall apart just like it did for Mourinho and Conte

I respect Sarri for sticking to what brought me here in the first place, you can't put that on him.
Ultimately, it's a casting error by the board, you can't have a weak squad with limited characteristics and bring a manager who will force them to adapt because he wants to play like prime Barcelona. 
Only two ways from here, you either stick with him, prepare for another season without champions league and bring the right players for his system in the next two transfer windows or you sack him now, do some damage limitation and get a budget result oriented manager first thing in the summer.
Knowing our board, we will once again do something crazy. 

I agree, should have been more defensive. I like Sarri but we are far to brave today. Should have been more defensive. City simply blitzed us and forget Alonso . Azpi, Luis and Ruddiger lose all their battle that was the problem. 
 

10 days of rest and this happens...Some of these players do not have any responsibility....our defensive organization is a mess..jorginho does not have any positional sense as a cdm..in addition to that he is misplacing passes...kepa needs to improve as well..He is good keeper but does not belong to top class...Alonso the less said the better it is..
